Yoga for Mind & Energy: Chakra Balancing & Pranayama
Yoga goes beyond the physical mat. Discover how to balance your energy, clear emotional blockages, and find inner calm through targeted breathwork and chakra alignment.
Here, I demonstrate the technique for Nadi Shuddhi, or alternate nostril breathing. I explain the correct hand mudra, posture, and gentle blocking of the nostrils. This powerful pranayama is excellent for cleansing your energy channels and calming the mind.
If you find it difficult to forgive or lack compassion, your Anahata or heart chakra might be blocked. In this video, I explain how the heart chakra regulates our energy flow and demonstrate asanas like Ustrasana (Camel Pose) to help bring it into balance.
Do you feel self-destructive or have trouble making decisions? This can be a sign of an imbalanced Manipura, or solar plexus chakra. This fire element chakra governs our personal power. Here, I show asanas like Navasana (Boat Pose) to balance this energy center.
Feeling insecure or caught up in matters of money can point to an imbalance in your Mooladhara, or root chakra. This chakra is our foundation. This video explains its importance and shows grounding asanas to help you feel stable and secure.
If you find yourself easily addicted or struggling to sustain relationships, your Swadhisthana, or sacral chakra, may be imbalanced. This chakra is associated with creativity and relationships. I demonstrate poses like Supta Baddha Konasana to restore its flow.
Why should we slow down our breath? Ancient yogis observed that animals with slow breath, like tortoises, live longer. This video explains the benefits of slow breathing, from activating the parasympathetic nervous system to improving heart health and creativity.
What is Nadi Shodhana Pranayama? It's a self-healing technique that purifies our energy channels, or nadis. By breathing through one nostril at a time, we restore the body's natural, healthy rhythm and balance the flow of prana.
About this collection
We often think of yoga as just physical exercise, but real shifts happen when you tap into your subtle energy. In my sessions, we do not just perform poses. We work with the breath to unblock specific chakras, using postures like Ustrasana for the heart or Navasana for your solar plexus, so you feel grounded and restored rather than just tired after a class.
Beyond the Posture: Balancing Your Energy
Yoga is a journey inward. While asanas (postures) build strength, it is the integration of pranayama (breathwork) and meditation that truly shifts how you feel. My approach to energy work isn't just about learning the theory of chakras; it's about identifying where you feel stuck and using movement to clear that space.
The Three Pillars of Energy Flow
- Breathwork (Pranayama): Techniques like Nadi Shuddhi help purify your nadis (energy channels). It is a self-healing tool that calms the parasympathetic nervous system, helping you move from a state of 'fight or flight' to 'rest and digest.'
- Targeted Asanas: We use specific poses to address imbalances. For example, if you feel insecure or caught up in financial anxiety, we focus on grounding poses to stabilize the Mooladhara (root chakra). If you struggle with self-doubt, we work on the solar plexus to rekindle your personal fire.
- Mindset & Affirmations: Healing the subtle body requires intention. We pair our physical practice with affirmations that directly address the emotional blockages associated with each chakra.
Why This Matters
Whether you are dealing with PCOS, thyroid issues, or just the daily grind of motherhood, your energy body holds the key to your recovery. I guide you step-by-step through these techniques so you can practice them independently. It is not about perfect form, but about finding a rhythm that works for your unique physiology. Practice karne mein maza aata hai (practicing is fun), and when you feel that shift in your own energy, consistency becomes effortless.
