Beyond daily classes, these intensive workshops focus on mastering specific skills—like inversions or sound healing—through a blend of anatomical science and traditional practice.

About Deep Dive Workshops

These aren't general drop-in sessions; they are intensive, focused workshops designed to break down complex poses or therapeutic practices. Whether you're here to conquer your first headstand or explore the vibrations of a sound bath, expect a rigorous 2-3 hour session where I provide direct, hands-on adjustments. You will walk away with both the theoretical understanding and the practical technique needed to keep practicing safely at home.

My workshops are built on the principle of 'anushasan' (discipline). Unlike a standard class, these sessions are structured to address specific bottlenecks in your practice, whether that is the fear of inverting, a lack of alignment in arm balances, or the need for deep nervous system regulation.

Why Workshops?

  • Technical Breakdown: In my Headstand and Inversion workshops, we don't just 'try' the pose. We spend the first hour on preparatory drills for the neck, shoulders, and core. I explain the role of the hypothalamus and pineal glands, grounding the physical act in biological understanding.
  • Safety First: Props are my primary teaching tools. If you are joining for an inversion workshop, I personally assess your readiness. If you have neck or shoulder issues, I will guide you to alternative variations. Safety is the foundation of my teaching.
  • Deep Relaxation: For those attending the Aerial Sound Bath or restorative workshops, we use props to achieve a state of 'zero-gravity' relaxation. This allows the body to release tension that usually holds up in a vertical position.

These sessions are designed for everyone from beginners to teachers. If you are a teacher, these workshops provide insights into the mechanics of adjustments and theory. If you are a beginner, you get a controlled environment to start your journey without the risk of injury. We keep batches small to ensure I can see every student, provide hands-on assistance, and answer your questions. This is about building a foundation that supports your practice for years, not just a one-time experience.

I am Sushma, and I believe yoga is discipline, not just movement. In these workshops, I bring together my study of anatomy and ancient Vedic wisdom to help you push past your physical limits safely, whether you're trying to invert or simply find silence.
