We do not teach for Instagram likes. These sessions focus on the mechanics of arm balances, deep backbends, and inversions for those ready to commit to the real work.

This is Purna Ardha Matsyendrasana, an advanced twisting and arm-balancing pose that demands significant flexibility and strength. My practice is a testament to the dedication I bring to teaching these complex asanas.

In our arm balance workshops, we focus on building foundational strength and proper technique. Here, a student practices the entry into Adho Mukha Vrksasana, or handstand, with instructor support and wall assistance to ensure safety.

This video demonstrates the dynamic transition from a tripod headstand into Eka Pada Bakasana, or one-legged crane pose. This sequence builds immense core and shoulder stability, a key focus in our arm balance series.

This hip-opening posture, a variation of Parsva Bhuja Dandasana, targets deep external rotation of the hip. In my workshops, I guide students on how to safely enter such poses to increase mobility and release tension.

Here is a preparatory pose for Eka Pada Koundinyasana, an arm balance that combines a twist with a leg extension. This posture builds the necessary upper body strength and hip flexibility required for the full expression.

This is a variation of Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana, a standing balance pose that challenges stability and hamstring flexibility. My practice focuses on maintaining alignment and drishti, or focused gaze, which I teach as essential elements for balance.

This standing hip-opening posture is a preparation for more complex poses like the leg-behind-head series. It requires balance and deep hip flexion, which we cultivate progressively in our classes.

This is a variation of Eka Pada Koundinyasana II, a challenging arm balance that requires a strong core and open hips. My workshops focus on the step-by-step progression to achieve such demanding asanas.

Practicing Bakasana, or Crow Pose, outdoors connects the challenge of the arm balance with the grounding energy of nature. This pose is fundamental for building the strength and confidence needed for more advanced arm balances.

Kapotasana, or Pigeon Pose, is a profound backbend that opens the entire front of the body. In this video, I demonstrate the correct engagement and breathing required to safely deepen the posture, a technique we explore in our backbending workshops.

About Advanced Asana Workshops

We avoid shortcuts. Whether it is an arm balance or a deep backbend, we use specific props like wall ropes, blocks, and chairs to safely deconstruct the posture. This method allows you to understand the exact engagement of muscles required, ensuring that when you do move into the full expression, it is built on stability rather than momentum.
