About Yoga Instruction
My Take on Yoga
For me, yoga goes way beyond just nailing a pose. Sure, asanas matter, but the real magic is how you carry yourself off the mat. Sometimes you’ll find yourself upside down, sometimes just sitting quietly with your thoughts. Either way, it’s all about finding your own balance and growing as a person. If you come in with shraddha (wholehearted faith) and are open to your own unique dharma (life path), you’re already halfway there.
What Mysore-Style Means Here
This isn’t a regular “copy what I do” class. Mysore-style is traditional Ashtanga, but you move at your own breath, your own pace. I help you one-on-one, but quietly, in a group. Over time, you’ll start memorizing the sequence and making it your own. Honestly, it’s a bit different at first but it builds real independence and discipline.
Who’s This For?
- Brand new to yoga? Bilkul theek hai (totally okay).
- Know yoga but new to Ashtanga? You’ll fit right in.
- Practiced before and want to go deeper? Let’s do it.
- Coming back after a break? No stress.
How We Practice
You can join from anywhere with my online shala, where we meet for regular sessions or start with a gentle beginner’s course. If you’re around Mumbai, I run in-person intensives in Powai - traditional style, six days a week. Sometimes, we do retreats in places like Lonavala for a full reset - think yoga, plant-based food, and a much-needed social media break.
About My Training
I’m a Level 1 Authorised Ashtanga Teacher from SYC Mysore. I stay true to the parampara (lineage) of my teacher, Sharath Jois, so what you learn comes straight from the roots.
You bring your mat, I’ll bring the guidance - we’ll figure out the rest together.

My Story
School walls never held me. The world taught me – every ride on my old Royal Enfield, every silent minute on the mat. Mysore’s Ashtanga tradition is my home, Sharath ji my guru. Yoga isn’t just what happens in class, it’s in food, laughter, dipping toes in lakes. I find freedom on the road, stillness in practice, and gratitude everywhere. That’s me – mixing wild adventure and quiet joy, always learning, always sharing.
