About Additional Media
You will notice that much of our media focuses on the 'Functional Approach' to asanas rather than just aesthetics. We prioritize teaching you how to assess your own skeletal variations so you can practice without pain or fear of injury. Whether you see us in an anatomy class or by the backwaters, our focus remains on helping you move in a way that respects your body’s unique structure.
Our yoga journey at Sayujya is built on the belief that yoga is a lifelong sadhana (spiritual practice). We do not just teach poses; we delve into the why and how behind them.
Our media gallery offers a glimpse into this approach:
- Functional Anatomy: We use visual aids, skeletons, and props to show why alignment looks different for every body. You will see us demystifying the difference between aesthetic, 'perfect' poses and functional, pain-free movement.
- Beyond the Mat: We believe yoga is about our connection to the world. You will find images of us in nature, which we believe is the best classroom for mindfulness. From the backwaters of Goa to the mountains, we try to incorporate the elements into our retreats and training.
- Philosophy & Education: We document our ongoing learning, including interviews about managing health conditions like arthritis through holistic yoga and our work with the Indian Knowledge System.
If you are looking for more than just a fitness routine, we invite you to explore our courses. Whether you prefer the flexibility of our Mumbai hybrid training or the immersive experience of a retreat in Goa, we focus on building a community of seekers. We keep our batches small to ensure that every student gets individual attention, and our community support continues long after your certification is complete. Let us help you start your abhyas (practice) with intention.
