My Yoga Journey: From Personal Practice to Conscious Living
Yoga for me isn't just a workout; it's a way of listening to the body and finding inner calm. This is my journey—where traditional philosophy meets real-life movement.
"The fire of desire has turned to ash, in its place, the flame of truth burns." A moment of deep meditation, connecting with the spirit of the sadhu.
Surrounded by fire and fellow seekers, this image captures the intensity and devotion of the yogic path.
In a cave, with only a small flame for light, the practice turns inward. This is a representation of finding light in the darkness.
Holding a flame, a symbol of inner light and truth. My journey as a yogi is about cultivating this flame within myself and helping others find theirs.
An evening by the sea with a Shiva lingam. These moments of quiet devotion and practice are what sustain my spiritual journey.
A rooftop practice with a young student. Sharing the joy of yoga and watching the next generation embrace it is a huge part of my journey.
About My Journey as a Yogi
My own path wasn't a straight line; I overtrained and learned the hard way that progress happens slowly. When we practice together, we don't just push for flexibility—we build a sustainable routine that respects where your body is today, whether that means rehab work for joint mobility or challenging acro flows.
For me, yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self. What you see in my practice—the Hatha, Ashtanga, and the occasional Acro flow—is all about connecting with that higher energy. I have built my teaching on the lessons I learned after a major injury forced me to pause, reassess, and respect my body.
Whether I am teaching at Zenergy in Bandra, conducting sessions at Nitrro in Breach Candy, or guiding a private home session across Mumbai, my goal is the same: to help you move with awareness. It is not just about asanas. We integrate pranayama (breathwork), meditation, and sometimes even kirtan or music, because yoga is about balance, not just stretching.
If you are dealing with specific concerns like scoliosis, gout, or general stiffness, we use props and therapeutic sequences to create a safe space. If you are a beginner or just looking to dive deeper, we go at your pace. Sab kuch dheere dheere hota hai (everything happens slowly, friend). Let’s find that balance together.
Samarth Jani
I’m Samarth. I’ve spent over a decade on the mat, and I’ve learned that the most important part of yoga is showing up for yourself. My classes are a mix of traditional Hatha, intense movement, and enough chill time to help you actually find your breath.
