My Yoga Journey: Philosophy and Sacred Reflections
Yoga is not a workout, it is a way of living. My path has been shaped by ancient texts, silent retreats, and the simple, quiet wisdom of daily sadhana. Here is a glimpse into the roots of my practice.
Each year, I take a sacred pause from teaching to return to the heart of my own sadhana. It is a time for deep study, reflection, and planting the seeds for future offerings. Here are some of the books that are currently nourishing my practice.
After observing 72 hours of silence for Mouni Amavasya, I am reminded that silence is the most powerful tool for transformation. It is more than the absence of words; it is a journey inward to align with our inner wisdom.
Autobiographies of yogic masters are not easy reads, but they are essential. They show the raw, human side of the spiritual journey, complete with fears and doubts. Here are my recommendations for every sadhaka, including 'Autobiography of a Yogi' and 'Living with the Himalayan Masters'.
For Navratri, I was gifted two new books for Sri Vidya Upasakas. 'Messages from the Himalayan Sages' by Guru Sakalamaa and 'Devi Rahasyam' by Ushijo.co are both brilliant guides for those on the path of Devi sadhana.
On Guru Purnima, this is a heartfelt note to my fellow yoga teachers. It is no fairy tale life. You have nursed injuries, healed wounds, and answered endless questions with kindness, all while navigating your own life. You are polishing your teaching muscle daily, sharing Bharat's yogic treasure with authenticity.

I am deeply grateful to have served on the jury for the '51 World's Most Unconventional Young Yoga Instructors'. It is an honor to help recognize those who are extending the path of yoga far beyond the confines of the mat.
About My Journey & Inspirations
True yoga isn't just about physical flexibility, it is about developing the mental clarity to sit with yourself. My own practice is built on a foundation of Sāṅkhya philosophy and daily ritual, not just gym sessions. If you are tired of the commercialized fitness approach and are looking for a teacher who prioritizes your internal growth, let's talk about how to design a sadhana that fits your life.
Beyond the Physical
Many people come to me seeking a 'fix' for their back pain or a way to get fit, but they stay because they find a path to something much deeper. My journey has not been linear. After completing my PhD at S-VYASA, I realized that the most profound teachings were not in textbooks, but in the silence of Mauna (silence) and the rhythmic chanting of ancient mantras.
What I Believe
Yoga is a rebellion against the constant noise of the modern world. Whether I am sharing insights from the Bhagavad Gita or guiding you through a Yoga Nidra session, my aim is to help you move from being a consumer of yoga classes to a student of the path.
How We Work Together
- Philosophy in Practice: We don't just chant; we discuss the logic behind the practice. You will learn to apply Yamas and Niyamas to your daily routine, from how you eat to how you parent.
- Authenticity Over Aesthetics: I do not care about your ability to perform complex asanas. I care about your breath, your intention, and your willingness to unblock your prana.
- Structured Mentorship: If you choose 1-on-1 mentorship, we treat it like a traditional apprenticeship. We assess your physical and mental state to build a routine that is sustainable, not just a series of exercises.
My approach is slow, intentional, and grounded in reality. If you are ready to stop chasing perfection and start finding peace, you are in the right place.
