About Playful Practices: Aerial & Face Yoga
In our aerial sessions, you do not need to be a gymnast. We focus on spinal decompression using professional-grade hammocks, with thick safety mats and constant supervision. For face yoga, we keep it to simple, repeatable movements that improve circulation and help you release jaw tension. It is just a few minutes of care that you can easily integrate into your day.
Aerial Yoga: Safe Exploration
Aerial yoga is about letting the fabric support you while you explore new ranges of motion. We use professional-grade silk hammocks rigged securely to the ceiling. Because we limit our batches to 6-8 students, you receive personal guidance throughout the session. If you sit at a desk all day, these inversions are a helpful way to decompress the spine and increase blood flow. We focus on alignment first—safety is always the priority before we try any inversion.
Face Yoga: Release Subconscious Tension
We often hold stress in our forehead, jaw, and brow without realizing it. Face yoga is less about cosmetic changes and more about releasing that subconscious tension. I teach routines that take just a few minutes, focusing on massage techniques to boost circulation and soften facial expressions. Think of it as a massage for your face that you give to yourself. Consistency is the key here; a few minutes a day is more effective than an hour once a week.
Why Combine Them?
Both practices require you to stop, breathe, and pay attention to your body. Aerial work builds core stability and upper body strength, while face yoga helps calm the mind and relax the muscles of expression. It is a balanced approach that leaves you feeling lighter, both in body and in your mind.
Pragalbha Yoga
At Pragalbha Studios, we believe yoga should wake up your senses, not just stretch your hamstrings. We keep our batches small so that when you are in a hammock or practicing face yoga, you are always supported and never left to guess the alignment.
