Mindfulness: Breathwork, Meditation & Sound Healing

About Mindfulness: Breathwork, Meditation & Sound Healing
In our meditation and sound healing sessions, we use a mix of traditional props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks to ensure your body is completely supported while you practice. When the body is fully at ease, the mind finds it easier to let go, which is why we spend time ensuring each student is set up comfortably before the chanting or sound bath begins.
Yoga is not just about the poses we hold. At Pragalbha, we believe the true practice often begins when we stop moving. Our meditation and breathwork clusters are designed to help you disconnect from the rush of Bangalore life and reconnect with yourself.
We start by grounding the body. You might see us using blocks and bolsters in our images—this is not because we are looking for a 'perfect' pose, but because we want your physical body to be so comfortable that it stops demanding your attention. When the body is at rest, the breath flows freely.
What to expect in our sessions:
- Pranayama (Breathwork): We practice techniques like Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) for balance and Brahmari (Bee Breath) to soothe the nervous system. These are tools to manage stress, not just exercises.
- Sound Healing: Using singing bowls and vocal resonance, we create vibrations that encourage deep relaxation. It is a passive yet powerful experience that helps many of our students release tension they have been holding for weeks.
- Meditation: We often end our sessions with guided chanting, such as 'Shivo'aham', or silent reflection to settle the mind.
Whether you are joining us for a weekend workshop or a regular group class, our studio offers a quiet, naturally ventilated space in Sahakar Nagar. We cap our batch sizes to 10-15 students, ensuring you receive the personal guidance needed to truly settle into your practice. You do not need experience to start; you just need to show up.
