About Taekwondo for Kids & Teens
Why I Teach Taekwondo
For me, Taekwondo is much more than kicks and punches. It's a way to build character, confidence, and real-life skills in kids and teens. I know some people say "Sports ko time pass bolne wale log" (people call sports a pastime), but for us, it's everything. I treat my students like family - we grow together.
What Kids & Teens Learn Here
- Basics first: We drill kicks, blocks, punches, and proper technique. Every kick मारते time (while kicking), you learn how to turn, balance, and use your power.
- Forms (Poomsae): Practicing patterns helps with focus, discipline, and teamwork.
- Safe sparring: Full protective gear, always supervised. Kids learn strategy, timing, and respect for opponents.
- Fitness & flexibility: Tough workouts (push-ups, squats, splits) to boost strength and flexibility. You’ll see even small bachhe (kids) doing full splits.
Mindset & Discipline
Every class starts and ends with a bow. We teach respect, listening, and how to handle winning and losing. "Bas ek Coach hi toh hai jise aapke haar ya jeet dono se fark padta hai" (Only the coach really cares about both your win and your loss). We mix in games so kids stay happy and engaged.
The Belt Journey
From white belt dreams to black belt achievements, we follow the full Taekwondo belt progression for kids. Regular exams, certificates, and lots of pride. Students compete in tournaments at all levels. Our team keeps bringing home medals.
Student Stories
Swara, Anvi, and Swara J. have all trained with me for years. Their flexibility, kicks, and confidence have grown—plus they’ve competed nationally. Their hard work makes me proud every day.

My Story
Namaste, Tejas sir here. Powerstar Taekwondo Academy started with one branch, now we’ve got five in Ulwe. My students, my family, 150+ strong! I’m a 3rd Dan Black Belt from Kukkiwon, South Korea, and Maharashtra State Referee, but real joy? Watching students go from white belt dreams to black belt reality, medals in hand. Hamari chhoriyan chhoron se kam nahin (our girls are no less than boys). For me, coaching is life. Guru means guide, not just teacher.
My Work
Taekwondo classes for all ages - We train kids (mini warriors) and adults, from beginners to advanced, in small batches.
Competitive Taekwondo coaching - Students win at district, state, even national levels. I stand by them, win or lose.
Fitness and flexibility Taekwondo - Training boosts height, flexibility, mental and physical strength. Zaroori hai, not hanikarak! (It’s necessary, not harmful!)
Self-defense and confidence building - Focus on self-defense for girls, self-confidence, discipline, and positive mindset. Games keep it fun too.
