About My Healing Journey & Philosophy
I am not a teacher who tells you how your body should look in a pose. My approach is rooted in my own recovery from a major injury and burnout, so we prioritize nervous system regulation over flexibility. Whether we are using Tibetan bowls or mandala art, the goal is to give you tools that you can actually use when life feels overwhelming, not just during the session.
My story is not one of a lifelong yogi who never knew stress. I spent years in the corporate world, managing HR, meetings, and deadlines. It was only after I hit a wall with divorce, single parenting, and a physical injury that I truly understood the need for holistic care. I realized that traditional fitness classes often ignore the heavy emotional load we carry. That is why Padma Yoga Academy is different. We do not just do yoga. We mix sound healing, breathwork, and meditative art therapy to help you regulate your nervous system. If you are joining my workshops in Indiranagar, Jayanagar, or Koramangala, expect floor seating and a safe space where you can be exactly who you are, without judgment. I offer 1-on-1 therapeutic sessions for those dealing with specific personal trauma or burnout, and group sessions for those looking for community. We do not chase perfect poses here. We chase peace, balance, and the courage to evolve from within.
