Wellness Wisdom & My Journey
Yoga isn't just about poses. It's about healing from the inside out. Here is my story, my recovery from illness, and the small, daily changes that actually help you live better.
An excerpt from my interview with Storiyaan, where I share how I was first introduced to yoga and how it became a critical part of my healing journey from tuberculosis.
In this clip from my Storiyaan feature, I talk about my journey from being an overweight teen trying crash diets to contracting TB, and how that difficult period led me to explore healthier food and nutrition.
My mission as a yoga instructor, as shared with Storiyaan. It's about spreading the idea that yoga is a lifestyle that can improve your work, relationships, and connection with yourself.
A mindset shift: realizing that moving your body is a privilege, not a punishment. Every step, every stretch is a celebration of what your body can do.
As a yoga teacher, I do it all: run, walk, and weight train. Here are the essential stretches I do before every run to warm up my muscles and prevent injury.
Are you drinking a liter of water first thing in the morning? Here's why that might be doing more harm than good. Your body needs timely hydration, not a tsunami.
The right way to drink water is to sit and sip, not stand and gulp. This simple change helps your body absorb it properly and avoids bloating.
What do all successful people have in common? They wake up early. Waking up with the sun gives you peace, mental clarity, and a head start on your day.
About Wellness Wisdom & My Journey
When I was diagnosed with tuberculosis, I didn't need fancy gym gear. I needed to learn how to breathe again, how to eat real food, and how to treat my body with kindness instead of punishment. That is the core of my teaching: yoga is a life-changing tool for healing, not just a way to sweat or show off on social media.
I spent years in the corporate grind, chasing paychecks and burning out, just like many of you. My health took a backseat until it finally forced me to stop. Whether you are dealing with a tough diagnosis like I was, or just the daily 'drains' of a 9-to-5 job, I share what I’ve learned—from fixing your hydration habits to why waking up at Brahma Muhurat actually changes your mindset.
Why My Approach is Different
I don't just teach poses. I teach habits that stick. My journey with TB and weight management taught me that the biggest changes often come from the smallest adjustments. You don't need a perfect Instagram setup or expensive equipment. You need consistency and the right 'why' behind what you do.
