You do not need to be an artist to find calm here. We explore self-expression through Mandala, Kolam, and mindful painting, focusing on the journey of healing rather than the final product.

This was the first mandala I ever created, a gift for my mentor. Every line held my respect, and every color carried my gratitude. It taught me that creation itself can be a sacred offering.

Ever tried creating art that reflects you, not perfection? This video shows the beautiful, hand-painted diyas from one of my workshops, each one a unique expression of the creator's inner light.

What’s your favorite pattern? Dots, swirls, or mandalas? Here you can see the intricate details being added to diyas, a meditative process that requires patience and creativity.

This video is an exploration of Tezhip, a traditional Turkish art of illumination. Beyond its beauty, Tezhip is a spiritual and meditative practice that reflects the unity and harmony of the universe.

A splash of color can turn a simple diya into pure magic. This is part three of my diya painting tutorial, where we joyfully add colors that speak to our festive spirit.

Want that rich, smooth finish on your diyas? This tutorial video shows the importance of applying an even coat of paint, a lesson in patience that makes the final design shine brighter.

Is Rangoli just decoration, or a doorway to divine energy? This video explores the South Indian tradition of Kolam, a daily spiritual practice of mindfulness, patience, and devotion.

Think the base coat doesn’t matter? This video shows the crucial first step of diya painting. A clean white base helps the colors pop and gives your art a professional, vibrant finish.

What starts as a simple mud diya can be transformed into a beautiful piece of art. This video captures the beginning of the creative process, showing the potential that lies in a humble piece of clay.

For me, mindfulness has recently taken the form of Kolam. The repetitive movements help anchor the mind, much like deep breathing, and teach a beautiful lesson in letting go of perfection.

About Creative & Meditative Art

In my sessions, we often start with a simple mud diya or a blank page, but the goal is never a perfect masterpiece. We use the slow, rhythmic nature of painting and drawing to settle a busy mind, similar to the grounding effect of deep breathing. It is a space where you can set aside the need for control and simply let your hands move, whether you are trying your hand at intricate Mandala patterns or a traditional Kolam.
