We believe a home should be part of your story, not just a structure. Here is how we take ideas from a simple sketch to a finished, breathable space.

The process often starts with a simple hand sketch to map out the basic layout and flow of spaces. This initial drawing for the 'Maya' house helped establish the core relationship between the living areas, the master suite, and the garden.

For a coastal project, we used clay and water to create a physical model of the site's topography. This hands-on method helps us understand the natural flow of water and land, which is more intuitive than a drawing sometimes.

This animated section of the 'Roots' house shows how the different levels interact with light and greenery. These visualizations help us analyze the user experience within the home, ensuring a harmonious flow from one space to another.

An axonometric drawing of the first-floor plan for the 'Triode' apartments. This type of drawing allows us to see the layout in 3D, helping us to refine the spatial relationships between rooms and ensure a functional design.

This cross-section of the 'Triode' project shows how the mezzanine levels create dynamic, interconnected living spaces within each duplex. It illustrates our solution for creating both openness and intimacy in a multi-family building.

Another animated section of 'Roots', this time showing how the activities of the residents shape the house. We map out how people will move through and use the spaces to ensure our design supports their lifestyle.

An exploded axonometric view of the 'Roots' house, revealing how all the different floors and spaces come together. This helps to understand the building as a complete, integrated system.

The second-floor plan for 'Triode' in an axonometric view. This level of detail in our drawings ensures that every aspect of the design, from room layouts to furniture placement, is carefully considered.

About From Concept to Reality: Our Design Journey

Before we ever lay a brick, we spend a lot of time just drawing and model-making. It is not about making pretty pictures for a portfolio. We use these sketches and models to map out how you will move through your home, where the breeze will catch, and how the light will change during the day. If it does not work in the sketch, it is not going to work on the site.

Architecture is often made to sound like a magical process, but for us, it is about being practical and honest. We start with hand sketches because they allow us to test layouts quickly. Sometimes, when a project is complex, we build a physical model using cardboard or clay. For instance, in our coastal projects, these models help us see how the land slopes and how water flows, which is much more intuitive than staring at a computer screen.

We also rely on animated sections to analyze how a house will feel. When we designed the Roots house, we mapped out every movement to ensure the living spaces, the mezzanines, and the garden areas flowed into each other. This is how we avoid big surprises later. We don't just design the exterior; we look at the house as a complete, integrated system where the activities of the residents shape the structure. Whether it is adding a mezzanine to a duplex to create dynamic, interconnected rooms or placing a courtyard to draw light into a deep plot, our drawings are meant to solve real-world problems. We share these visualizations with our clients so everyone is on the same page before construction begins, ensuring the final home is exactly what we planned together.
