Ground-Up Residential Architecture & Build
A) Structure & Masonry
- Conceptualization: Full architectural and structural drawings focusing on double-height volumes and skylights.
- Shell Execution: Foundation to roof construction using high-grade RCC with complex shuttering for exposed concrete ceilings.
- Signature Walls: Use of table-moulded exposed bricks or wire-cut bricks stacked on edge to create maintenance-free textured facades.
B) Flooring & Facades
- Natural Stone: Installation of tactile local stones like Leather-finish Kota, Sadarhalli Grey Granite, or Cuddapah with brass inlays.
- Custom Screens: Fabrication of operable wooden or metal louvers that function as light filters and curtains.
- Fenestration: Large-format sliding aluminum or high-end UPVC glass doors for indoor-outdoor connectivity.
C) Interior Finishes
- Biophilic Design: Integration of internal courtyards, light wells, and planter beds into the structural core.
- Metal & Wood: Fabrication of lightweight metal staircases and built-in teak veneer cabinetry with PU color accents.
Architectural Interiors & Civil Transformation
A) Civil Modifications
- Layout Changes: Demolition of non-structural walls to merge spaces (e.g., kitchen and dining) for open-plan living.
- Flooring Overhaul: Removal of builder-grade tiles and installation of seamless Oxide finishes or rough natural stone.
- Wall Treatments: Application of lime plaster, exposed brick cladding, or concrete-effect texture paints.
B) Bespoke Joinery
- Custom Cabinetry: On-site fabrication of kitchens and wardrobes using plywood and veneer or PU (no factory modular units).
- Fixed Furniture: Design of permanent elements like bay window seating, study nooks, or library shelves integrated into the walls.
C) Services & Detailing
- Lighting: Electrical re-routing for architectural mood lighting using track lights and surface-mounted cylinders.
- Metalwork: Custom MS (Mild Steel) shelving units, partitions, or screens painted in matte black or accent colors.
Structural Renovation & Modernization
A) Structural Repair
- Simplification: Removal of dated architectural elements like cornices and arches to modernize the facade lines.
- Expansion: Civil work to extend room footprints, add bathrooms, or create new terraces.
- Roofing: Structural repairs to roofs including waterproofing and skylight integration.
B) Aesthetics & Openings
- Fenestration Upgrade: Enlarging small vintage windows to floor-to-ceiling openings for better ventilation.
- Material Update: Replacing old ceramic tiles with natural stone or cement finishes.
C) Essential Services
- Utilities: Complete replacement of aging internal plumbing pipes and electrical wiring to meet modern load capacities.
- Landscaping: Re-working external setbacks to create visible pocket gardens.
About Residential Architecture & Interior Design
How We See Your Home
We design homes that feel lived in from day one, not just good on paper. I want your place to feel right - from how light falls in the morning to that breeze making its way through the rooms. Every project is a chance to make the house part of your story, not just a backdrop.
What Guides Us
- Nature is always invited in. Courtyard house design and garden nooks are our thing, whether it’s a tree right at the heart of the house or a living room that opens up to the outside.
- Natural ventilation architecture matters. We use skylights, big windows, and airy screens so your home breathes, with that soft, filtered light - not the blinding stuff.
- Materials are kept honest. You’ll see exposed brick, raw concrete, Sadarhalli and Cuddapah stone, all picked for how they age and how they fit the place.
- Minimalist home interiors but not soulless. Neutrals and raw finishes, sure, but also bold colors and textures where it counts.
Homes With Heart
Some spaces are built around a garden for dogs and people alike. Others make tiny plots feel big with double heights and open stairs. Sometimes we tuck a bit of a client's culture into a screen or facade. We even rethink apartments, adding mezzanines and rooftop hangouts for more shared life.
What We Do
Our team does everything from full new builds to thoughtful renovations, apartment blocks, and detailed interiors - right down to custom furniture and landscape. If you want indoor-outdoor living spaces or a home that feels like it’s yours, we’re up for it.

My Story
Hey, we’re Kamat & Rozario Architecture. I’m Lester, and Smruti’s my partner in this. For us, a house isn’t just walls and a roof. We love making spaces where inside and outside sort of melt into each other. Like, we once made a living room where the garden just flows right in—dogs and all. We’ll bend a building around a tree if we have to. Our team’s like family, and we like doing things our own way, even if it means making Christmas trees out of old stuff. Awards are nice, but honestly, it’s the small stories that stick.
My Work
What we do - We design homes, apartments, offices, schools—architecture, interiors, furniture, and landscape, mostly in Bangalore but also elsewhere.
Blurring inside and outside - Big sliding doors, courtyards, and screens for that indoor-outdoor living design. Spaces that breathe, lots of light and air.
Spaces that fit your life - Pet-friendly home architecture, split-levels for privacy, and living areas that actually suit how you live.
Materials with character - We use honest stuff—exposed concrete, Sadarhalli stone, waste-wood, and a minimal palette. Sometimes a quirky pop of colour.
Renovations and fresh starts - We love transforming old places, even on tight budgets. Declutter, rethink, and give spaces real character.
