Healing at The Yogakshema Center
Yogakshema is not just a studio. It is a space designed for precision, deep healing, and quiet introspection, away from the chaos of Delhi.
"Yoga is a golden key which unlocks the door to peace, tranquility and joy." This quote from B.K.S. Iyengar is embodied in the very architecture and atmosphere of my center, Yogakshema.

About this collection
When you step into this space, you will notice the wooden flooring and the deliberate absence of mirrors. We remove mirrors not to hide your form, but to stop you from looking outward for validation. You are here to feel your bones and muscles align, not to judge your reflection. Whether you are using the rope wall or the trestle, this silence is necessary to observe the subtle, internal movements of your body.
The architecture of Yogakshema is an extension of the Iyengar methodology—ordered, stable, and focused. Many people enter a yoga studio expecting a workout, but here, the environment demands a shift in consciousness. We minimize sensory distraction so that your attention remains internal. When we work on chronic pain or structural misalignment, your 'Pran Shakti' must be focused.
The Equipment
You will notice industrial-grade props—traction belts, bolsters, and the trestle. These are not comfort items; they are medical-grade tools. They allow us to hold poses for extended periods, which is how we release deep-seated nerve pressure. If you are struggling with sciatica, slipped discs, or spinal issues, this facility allows you to practice safely under gravity-assisted conditions.
Our Location
We are located in Delhi, providing a sanctuary that disconnects you from the city's pace. This isolation is part of the therapy. When you come here, you leave the traffic and the noise outside so you can focus entirely on your 'Sukshma Sharir' (subtle body).
Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this a gym? No. It is a rehabilitation-focused yoga center. We do not do high-intensity cardio.
- Do I need prior experience? No, but you do need commitment. We require consistency for the therapeutic benefits to take hold.
- How do I join? Sessions are strictly conducted in daily batches to ensure cumulative effect. We begin with a diagnostic review of your medical history and MRI reports.
Nivedita Joshi
I created Yogakshema because I know what it means to be unable to move due to injury. This space is where I rebuilt my own body, and it is where I guide you to rebuild yours using the same scientific rigor I learned from my Guru.
