About Inside Yogakshema: Our Studio & Community
When you walk into our Mandi House studio, you are entering a space designed to quiet the nervous system before the first asana begins. We use props like chairs, belts, and sandbags not as crutches, but as intelligent tools to enforce the precision of the Iyengar method, ensuring that your body is learning the right form, even on days when your energy feels low.
Yogakshema is built on the philosophy that your environment dictates the quality of your practice. Our space is intentionally calm, surrounded by nature to mirror the inner peace we aim to build. Because of our rigorous adherence to the Iyengar lineage, we maintain a hybrid model that connects our local students in Delhi with those practicing via Zoom globally. This is not a gym. You will not find loud music or frantic movement here. Instead, you will find a structure that supports deep work, whether we are focusing on spinal alignment or releasing chronic tension. Our sessions are physically demanding because they are therapeutically precise. If you are struggling with stiffness, back pain, or emotional blockages, you need a practice that confronts these issues directly rather than distracting you from them. Our instructors observe and adjust every student, ensuring that the Sukshma Sharir (subtle body) is as aligned as the physical one.

I founded Yogakshema to be a sanctuary, not just a classroom. My teaching is a direct continuation of B.K.S. Iyengar's lineage, and I expect the same level of discipline and curiosity from my students that I bring to every session.
