Stop treating symptoms and start aligning your system. I use precise Iyengar techniques to release the blockages fueling PCOD, PCOS, and chronic stress.

A young woman with severe Hashimoto's disease felt pressured to study abroad and get married, ignoring her failing health. I explain the danger of prioritizing societal expectations over your body's needs, especially for women in India. True support means understanding the physical and emotional toll of these pressures.

Men in India are often not taught to understand a woman's body. The dismissal of menstrual pain is a common example of this insensitivity, which contributes to the stress that fuels issues like PCOD. It is not just a female problem; it is a societal one.

I challenge the notion that women are lesser if they don't work. The modern woman is often juggling a career, home, kids, and social obligations, leading to immense stress and hormonal changes. This chain of actions is a direct cause of the rise in PCOS and PCOD.

Women do not need to be 'empowered'. A woman is already a powerful entity, a bridge to higher consciousness. What she needs is the space and time to feel and express her emotions. Yoga helps open the constricted areas where this power is blocked.

To feel deeply and to act bravely. That is the essence of femininity. Here, I guide a student in a supported Trikonasana (Triangle Pose), helping her find both strength and openness.

What if the place where you cry is also where you begin again? In Supta Padangusthasana, using a belt for support, this student works on releasing tension in her hips and pelvis, an area where women often store deep emotional stress.

Your heart holds your tenderness. Your belly holds your courage. In this supported leg-raising pose, students connect with both their emotional center (Anahata chakra) and their power center (Manipura chakra).

What if strength meant softness, too? This partner Urdhva Dhanurasana (Wheel Pose) demonstrates the balance of power and surrender, trust and support, that is central to feminine energy.

When you give yourself the space to feel, you begin to heal. My students find a community and a sanctuary here, a place to pause and reconnect with themselves.

Your heart holds more than love. It holds grief, joy, and longing. In Ustrasana (Camel Pose), we practice opening the heart chakra, releasing the armor we build around it.

About Yoga for Women's Health (PCOS, PCOD & More)

In my classes, we do not just perform poses; we use props like chairs, belts, and spinal traction ropes to physically re-align the pelvis and spine. Hormonal imbalances like PCOD and PCOS often stem from a body held in chronic tension, and until that physical rigidity is broken, no amount of exercise will fix the internal spill. We work on the foundation first—aligning the body so the energy flows correctly, rather than wasting it on misaligned effort.

The Science of Alignment for Women

Your body is a map of your mind. If you are struggling with PCOS, PCOD, or hormonal fluctuations, the answer is not found in a 'quick fix' or a generic workout. It is found in precision. In my Iyengar system, we treat these conditions by addressing the structural causes of metabolic and endocrine distress.

Why Iyengar Works for Women's Health

Modern women are often stuck in a cycle of constant output—juggling career, home, and social pressures. This stress is not abstract; it settles into the pelvis, the chest, and the dorsal spine, creating literal physical blockages. When the pelvis is misaligned, the organs it protects cannot function optimally. My approach uses:

  • Passive Asanas: We use specialized wooden props and weighted sandbags to allow your nervous system to switch from 'fight or flight' to 'rest and digest'.
  • Prop-Assisted Precision: Props are not crutches. They are tools that teach your body the correct form, even if you are currently too stiff or exhausted to hold it alone. This allows us to work on deep-tissue release safely.
  • Targeted Sequencing: My sequences for hormonal balance focus on restorative chest openers and pelvic floor stability, specifically designed to regulate the endocrine system.

Addressing the Root

I often use the analogy of a beaker and a glass. If the alignment is haywire when pouring water, the water spills. Your body is no different. If your spine is stiff or your pelvis is constricted, you are 'spilling' your vital energy. We work to rebuild that reservoir.

This is a process, not a session. It requires commitment to the batch schedule and a willingness to face the emotions stored in your tissues. If you are ready to stop managing symptoms and start building a rock-solid foundation, I am here to guide you.
