I started this journey because I was bedridden. My mission for this center, Yogakshema, is simple: whatever I have lost, nobody should, and whatever I have achieved, everybody should. I am here to give new life to others through this practice.

About My Philosophy: The Path to Self-Reflection
Most students focus on the pose, but the magic happens in the preparation. When you hold a posture with poor alignment, your energy leaks—think of it as water spilling from a tilted beaker because the vessel isn't straight. I teach you to fix this structure first. Once your body aligns correctly, that energy is conserved, creating a physical reservoir that immediately supports a sharper, more resilient mind.
Yoga as Atma Darshan
Yoga is not just movement. It is Atma Darshan—a deep journey of self-reflection. In my practice at Yogakshema, I strip away the modern obsession with 'fitness' and replace it with 'precision.'
The Mechanics of Energy
We often carry emotional baggage in our physical frame. When the spine is misaligned, the Sukshma Sharir (subtle body) gets blocked, and you feel the weight of these emotions as physical pain or mental fatigue. My role is not to just guide you into a pose, but to teach you how to dismantle these limitations using props like belts and chairs.
Why Alignment Matters
In the Iyengar method, we don't guess. We structure. We use props to ensure that even if you are stiff or recovering from an injury, you can access the full benefit of a classical asana. By correcting the posture, we release the pressure on the nerves and organs, effectively 'un-jamming' the traffic in your body.

This practice is a laboratory. You will test your limits, fail, correct, and eventually succeed. This process builds more than muscle; it builds the mental fortitude to face any battle in life.
