Ancient Indian Fitness Traditions and Cultural Workouts

Explore how Kerala heritage and ancient warrior training combine to build strength in the modern city.

For the Onam festival, we did a performance with our clubs as an offering to King Mahabali. It was a great way to combine our passion for fitness with our cultural traditions.

A moment of focus during our Ayudha Puja practice. On this day, we honor our tools and weapons, and for us, the Gada is a tool for building strength and discipline.

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy Onam. Here I am in my traditional mundu with my Gada and Mugdar, celebrating my Kerala heritage.

About this collection

We treat our tools with respect. Whether it is Ayudha Puja or a simple morning session, we honor the Gada and Mugdar. This is not just a workout, it is a discipline. When you step onto the mat, you connect with movements that have kept our culture strong for generations.

The ancient art forms we practice are tied to our roots in Kerala. I grew up with these traditions, and bringing them to Bangalore was my way of keeping that spirit alive. In this cluster, you see us celebrating Onam and Ayudha Puja by honoring our training tools. We view the Gada and Mugdar as extensions of our body and mind, not just heavy equipment.

When you join our sessions, you are not just learning how to swing a club. You are learning the patience and focus that come with traditional practice. We often integrate these cultural rituals into our workshops because it sets the right intention for the workout. It reminds us that training is a daily practice, much like life itself.

Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to deepen your functional movement practice, these sessions offer a space to learn. You will find that the traditional methods for shoulder rotation and core engagement are exactly what our modern, desk-bound lives are missing. You do not need to be an athlete to start, you just need to show up.
