Our Journey and Fitness Philosophy
Fitness is not a straight line, and after 23 years in the industry, I have learned that true strength comes from how we move every day. From traditional Mugdar and Gada to modern mobility drills, here is why I do what I do.
Many people say they don't like online classes, but sometimes the best teacher for you isn't in your city. I believe it's better to learn online than not at all. We offer both online and offline options to suit your needs.
A proud moment for me. This is my Level 1 Instructor Certificate for Indian Club and Mace from Tagda Raho. I am always learning to be a better coach for my students.
Experiencing a 25kg Vajra Mugdar at the Tagda Raho center. Pushing my own limits helps me understand what my students can achieve.
We now have our own Callipers Fitness T-shirts. It's a small step, but it makes us feel like a real team and community.
About this collection
People often ask if online fitness classes can really be as effective as in-person training. If you cannot find a specialized coach in your immediate area, learning through a screen with active feedback is far better than skipping your training entirely. My online mentorship sessions focus on small groups where I provide real-time cues, ensuring you receive the same quality of instruction as my offline workshops in Bangalore.
From Competitive Lifting to Traditional Movement
My fitness journey began 23 years ago, starting with competitive weightlifting and winning a state-level championship. While that phase built my foundation, I eventually realized that modern gym routines were leaving me, and many of my clients, feeling stiff and disconnected.
The Role of Traditional Indian Arts
I turned to ancient tools like the Mugdar (Indian clubs) and Gada (mace) because they offer what modern machines cannot: natural, circular movement. These tools are incredible for desk-bound professionals in cities like Bangalore who struggle with shoulder mobility, wrist stiffness, and a weak core. You are not just building muscle; you are restoring the range of motion you lost while sitting in a chair.
My Commitment to Quality
I do not believe in mass-producing fitness plans. Whether you are attending a group workshop in Bellandur or joining an online session, my approach is hands-on. I have earned my Level 1 Instructor Certificate in Indian Club and Mace training from Tagda Raho, and I constantly push my own limits—like training with 25kg Vajra Mugdars—so I can better guide you through yours.
Why Start Now?
It does not matter if you are an 8-year-old or a 60-year-old; there is a starting point for everyone. I have seen clients who could barely lift their arms recover their range of motion through consistent, low-impact practice. Fitness is about feeling good in your own skin, not just looking a certain way. If you have been hesitant about joining a class, think of this as your invitation to start simple and move with purpose.
Praveen KA
I am Praveen, a fitness coach who traded the modern gym scene to master traditional Indian movement. My philosophy is simple: we are built to move, and with the right guidance, you can regain the strength and flexibility you thought you had lost.
