This was our very first workshop, a dream come true for us. We were so happy to share our love for Indian clubs with this amazing group.
A few clips from our third workshop. We started with an introduction outdoors and then moved inside to practice the movements.
About this collection
In these workshops, I provide all the high-quality Rosewood clubs and Mugdars myself, so you do not need to buy anything to begin. We focus on specific techniques like the Shield Cast rotation and 360-degree Gada swings, which are the exact drills that fixed my own shoulder stiffness from years of training.
Why Learn in a Group?
When you are training alone, it is easy to develop bad habits. My workshops in Bangalore are designed to catch those small errors in your posture or grip before they become long-term issues. Whether we are at a local community center or a fitness studio, the group dynamic creates a supportive energy that makes learning these ancient patterns much more fun.
What We Actually Do
We do not just swing clubs. We break down the mechanics of the Shield Cast for shoulder mobility and the 10-to-2 pendulum swing for Gada (mace) training. These are not just exercises; they are tools to undo the damage caused by hunching over a laptop. You will learn how to breathe with the movement, how to maintain your grip, and why these traditional weights are safer for your joints than standard gym isolation machines.
Is It For You?
I have coached people from 8 to 80 years old. If you have been stuck in a desk job or are recovering from a sports injury, this functional training is a reset button for your body. No previous experience with traditional fitness is needed. I bring the equipment, and I provide the real-time corrections. All you need to bring is a willingness to learn a better way to move.
Praveen KA
I am a fitness coach who grew up in Thrissur, and for over 23 years, I have been obsessed with how the body is meant to move. I do not believe in complicated machines. I believe in simple, ancient Indian tools that actually work for the modern human body.
