About Prenatal Yoga & Garbh Sanskar
During pregnancy, we do not force postures. My focus is on safe spinal alignment and breath regulation. You will use props like bolsters and blocks to support your changing shape, ensuring you feel comfortable and stable while practicing pranayama to calm your nervous system.
My approach to prenatal yoga and Garbh Sanskar is rooted in the belief that your body is a temple, especially during pregnancy. We keep the practice slow and steady because I always say, 'Ruko, thoda time lagega' (Hold, it will take some time). This is not the time for intense physical exertion. It is a time for mindfulness.
Why Props Matter
As your body changes, your center of gravity shifts. We use bolsters, chairs, and blankets to provide external support. This allows you to perform stretches that improve blood circulation and reduce joint pain without putting strain on your lower back or pelvis. These props act as an extension of your support system, making the practice accessible at every stage of your pregnancy.

Yoga for expecting mothers is about the mind-body connection. We incorporate:
- Pranayama: Techniques like Anulom Vilom and Bhramari help lower stress hormones, improve oxygen flow to the baby, and keep your mind calm.
- Garbh Sanskar: We focus on conscious breathing and meditation to nurture a peaceful mental state, which is the core of Garbh Sanskar practices.
- Spinal Health: Gentle movements help address the common pregnancy-related issues like sciatica, stiff shoulders, and fatigue.
