My background as a dancer deeply influences my practice. Here in Natarajasana, or Lord of the Dance Pose, I find a connection between rhythmic movement and steady balance. This asana builds focus, opens the shoulders, and strengthens the legs.
Props are not just for beginners; they are tools for discovery. Using a chair for a deep backbend like this allows for a safe, supported spinal extension, helping to open the heart and shoulders more fully than one might be able to on their own.
Yoga is for everyone in the family. Sharing my practice with my son is one of my greatest joys. Here, we find balance together in Vrikshasana, or Tree Pose, turning a classic asana into a moment of connection and playfulness.

How My Classes Work

  • Hatha Yoga is our base, but I mix in Ashtanga flows too.
  • I welcome everyone - absolute beginners to those looking to deepen their practice.
  • Props are everywhere in my shala - blocks, chairs, straps, even a yoga wall. These help you understand your own body, no matter your flexibility level.
  • I’m hands-on. Expect gentle corrections and support, but you always move at your own pace.

My Story

Namaste, we are Nirakula Yoga Shala. Our roots go deep - some of us come from dance, theatre, lots of creative stuff. You’ll see that spark in how we teach, mixing movement and emotion. Our mornings start with laughter, puzzles, and yes, yoga with our little ones. Nature is our recharge button, whether it’s pranayama under a tree or asanas on a Kerala boat. For us, yoga is life – in small joys, in every breath.
