About this collection
We keep our group classes small so that every student receives hands-on adjustments. You will find us using wooden blocks, straps, and specialized Iyengar rope walls in almost every session to help you understand your alignment and safely deepen your practice, regardless of your current flexibility level.
Our Approach to Group Practice
At Nirakula Yoga Shala, we believe group classes should be more than just following a teacher. Our sessions are built on the Hatha and Ashtanga traditions, where the goal is consistency and self-discovery rather than mimicking a pose perfectly.
We structure our classes to ensure that you build strength and flexibility safely. Because we integrate props into our daily flow, even if you have stiffness or an old injury, you can participate effectively. The use of rope walls and bolsters is a signature of our space, allowing you to experience spinal traction and deep release that is difficult to achieve on a standard mat.
Weekend Workshops
If you are looking to break through a plateau, our weekend intensive workshops are designed for exactly that. These sessions focus on specific areas of practice, such as:
- Arm Balances: Building the core strength and technique needed to lift off the ground.
- Backbends: Opening the chest and shoulders while protecting the lower back.
- Inversions: Step-by-step drills to help you gain confidence for handstands and forearm stands.
These workshops are collaborative and energetic, often involving partner work where students help one another improve under our supervision. It is a space for focused learning and overcoming the mental blocks that often accompany physical challenges.
Flexible Access
We understand that life in a metro city is fast. Our unlimited monthly membership includes hybrid access. This means you can attend in-person at our Koramangala studio or join us via our live Zoom feed if you are traveling or stuck at home. Our goal is to make sure nothing gets in the way of your practice.
