Real Student Progress and Class Moments
My success as a teacher isn't measured by my own practice, but by yours. Here are real breakthroughs, hard work, and the supportive energy of our yoga community in Bangalore.
This is what consistency, patience, and body awareness can do. I am so proud of my student Abhilasha's transformation in her Eka Pada Bakasana (One-Legged Crow Pose) over the past year. Her journey is a true inspiration.
The feedback from my online course students says it all. They highlight the deep anatomy lessons and the value of our live sessions for posture correction. Hearing their experiences of gaining strength and understanding is the greatest reward.
I celebrate my students' poses more than my own. My success is their growth. This video captures the joy and focus in the studio as I guide them through their practice.
Fall, rise, and repeat. Sandeep's journey is an inspiring story of determination. Watching him work on his kick-overs, facing challenges with a smile, embodies the spirit of our studio.
My student Priyanka's Kapotasana journey shows how persistence and guidance unlock potential. She started by just touching her toes, but with a small adjustment, she was able to grab her heels. It’s amazing what a determined mindset can achieve.
I am so grateful to witness everyone evolving on the mat. This video shows the power-packed sessions and unstoppable energy of our community, from adults in deep backbends to kids exploring their strength.
This was the first session of International Yoga Day at Decathlon Sarjapur. It was all about moving with purpose and awareness. I am so grateful to everyone who joined and shared their energy.
Here are more glimpses from our International Yoga Day session. This wasn't just about poses; we moved with intention and meaning. In yoga, every breath and every movement tells a story of community and connection.
Yesterday’s Yoga Day session was a beautiful blend of inspiration and community. From kids to adults, everyone motivated each other, growing stronger together. Here is a student working on her Hanumanasana (splits) with props.
Today’s session was a showcase of incredible talent and dedication. I am so proud to see my students, like this one mastering Urdhva Dandasana in a standing forward bend, pushing their limits. Their progress is my greatest inspiration.
About Our Community: Student Progress & Class Moments
You’ll notice that my students aren't just 'posing' in these photos; they are working. That is because I believe in anatomy over aesthetics. In every session, you will get technical drills that explain which muscles should be firing and how your joints should rotate. Whether it is a simple arm balance or a complex backbend, my focus is on giving you the exact 'why' behind the movement so you can practice safely.
Why Anatomy-First Training Matters
Most classes focus on getting you into a shape. We focus on getting you to understand the shape. Whether you are a beginner or looking to unlock advanced asanas, my training relies on deep anatomical knowledge. We look at bio-mechanics, muscle engagement, and joint safety, so you aren't just copying what I do—you are learning how to do it with your own body.
The Community Difference
Yoga can be intimidating, but our studio in Bangalore is designed to be a space where everyone, from kids to adults, feels welcome to evolve. My students tell me, 'Shashi ki training achhi hai, daant bhi achhi padti hai' (Shashi's training is good, her scolding is good). That is because I provide the push you need when you are ready to give up. When you join our cohorts, you aren't just a face in a crowd; you are part of a peer group where we celebrate the messy, non-linear progress of learning.
What You Can Expect
- Live Corrections: In our live Zoom sessions, I don't just demonstrate; I observe and correct. If your alignment is off, I will tell you.
- Technical Progression: We use props like blocks and chairs to build strength, not to cheat the pose. You will learn how to fall, how to exit safely, and how to build the foundation for peak poses like Bakasana or Sirsasana.
- Inclusive Practice: Whether you are working on splits or navigating back pain, the practice is adapted to you. We focus on consistency and showing up, not on Instagram-perfect results.
If you are ready to stop chasing fancy poses and start understanding your own strength, I am here to guide you.
