Aerial Yoga: Fly, Stretch & Decompress
Discover the freedom of being suspended in the air. Whether you want to fix back pain or master your first inversion, the hammock takes the weight off your joints and helps you stretch deeper in a safe, guided setting.
This is one of my favorite things about aerial yoga. It makes challenging poses like the headstand, or Shirshasana, feel almost effortless. Using the hammock for support helps decompress the spine and lets you enjoy all the benefits of inversions, like improved circulation and a natural glow, without the strain.
You don't need flexibility, strength, or past yoga experience to try aerial yoga. All you need is a desire to try something new. If I can do it, you can too. Join my beginner-friendly workshop and discover what you're capable of.
In my aerial classes, I provide hands-on guidance to help you feel comfortable and safe in the hammock. Here, I'm assisting a student with her form in an inversion, ensuring her spine is aligned and she can relax into the pose.
Our aerial workshop is a space for exploration and fun. From warrior poses in the hammock to gentle inversions, we move through sequences that challenge the body and calm the mind. Look at the smiles and focus.
Want to give aerial yoga a try? Here's a glimpse of a simple flow we practice in our workshops. It's a great way to get comfortable with the hammock and experience the feeling of weightlessness.
We just completed another amazing aerial yoga workshop. It's always a session filled with learning, fun, and the joy of flight. I'm so proud of everyone for trying new things and trusting the process.
The best Mother's Day gift is a shared experience. It was wonderful to see mothers and their children bonding and creating memories in our aerial yoga workshop. As one mother said, she never imagined she could do an inversion, but she did.
Taking our practice to the air with a partner aerial drill. This requires communication, trust, and a bit of courage, but the feeling of flying together is incredible. We work on sequences like this to build both strength and partnership.
About Aerial Yoga: Fly, Stretch & Decompress
Forget the circus stereotypes. In my studio, the hammock is primarily a support tool to help you get into inversions like the Shirshasana without the fear of falling or straining your neck. We keep the groups small—capped at 15—so I can personally guide you through the grip, the wrap, and the lift.
Why Aerial Yoga Works
Many students come to me thinking aerial yoga is just for acrobats. It is actually the opposite. The hammock acts like a second skin, supporting your weight so you can decompress your spine and joints that are usually compressed from sitting at a desk all day. It is an incredible way to stretch deeper than you ever could on a standard mat.
The Workshop Experience
These sessions are designed to be safe and technical, not just a flow sequence. Each 90-minute workshop in Paschim Vihar covers:
- Biomechanics Breakdown: We don't just jump into poses. We look at how to position your body, where to place the fabric, and how to use the rigging for safety.
- Inversion Safety: If you have been scared to try a headstand, the hammock changes everything. It allows you to flip upside down with complete control.
- Small Batch Focus: I cap every session at 15 people. This is non-negotiable. It ensures I can provide hands-on spotting and individual corrections, especially when you are inverted.
Who Should Join?
If you have back pain, joint stiffness, or just feel 'stuck' in your regular practice, this is for you. You do not need to be flexible or have a gymnastics background. You just need a desire to try something new. I provide all the high-density studio-grade mats and weight-rated hammocks. Just bring your comfortable clothes and an open mind. Let’s get you on the mat and in the air.
Yogiks Yoga
I used to crunch numbers as a CA, but today I’m all about helping you find that 'sukun' on the mat. My studio in Paschim Vihar is where we move, sweat, and sometimes just hang upside down to let the stress go. It is a family here—come as you are.
