About Aerial Yoga: Defy Gravity
If you are new to the silks, do not worry about balance. We customize the rigging height for every student before you start, so you are always close to the floor while getting comfortable. It is designed to be safe and supportive, even on your first day, allowing you to focus on the stretch rather than the fear of falling.
Aerial yoga is often misunderstood as just 'yoga in the air,' but at Zingara Studio, we see it as a complete body conditioning practice. By using the hammock to support your weight, you can achieve deeper stretches and inversions that are difficult to hold on a mat.
This practice is particularly effective for anyone spending long hours at a desk. The suspension helps relieve spinal compression and joint pressure, leaving you feeling taller and more open. Beyond the physical alignment, there is a mental shift that happens when you hang upside down; it forces you to be fully present and trust the support of the silk.
We keep our batches small to ensure everyone gets enough attention. Whether you are working on your first inversion or deepening a backbend, our instructors are there to adjust your harness and guide your movement. You do not need to be a gymnast or a yogi to join us. If you can breathe and have a sense of adventure, you can do aerial yoga. We welcome students of all ages and fitness levels, focusing on building strength at your own pace within our supportive tribe.
