Aerial Yoga Classes in Brookefield & Varthur
Experience the freedom of floating with aerial yoga. We use silk hammocks to build core strength, increase flexibility, and gently decompress your spine in a safe, guided environment.
A full class of students exploring aerial yoga, using the hammocks to stretch and strengthen in unison. This is a great way to build community and have fun.
Inversions in the aerial hammock, like this compact tuck, help to decompress the spine and can feel incredibly restorative and playful.

About this collection
Aerial yoga is more than just hanging from a hammock. The fabric acts as a supportive prop that helps you achieve deeper stretches and safer inversions, taking the pressure off your spine while building core strength. In my sessions, you get hands-on alignment corrections from me, ensuring you get the full benefit of each pose without the risk of strain.
Why Aerial Yoga at Ashish Yoga Fitness
Many students come to me thinking aerial yoga is just for acrobats. It is not. Whether you are a total beginner or a regular practitioner, the silk hammock is a tool to help you reach places your body might not be ready for on a hard floor. We use it to hold supported versions of poses like Baddha Konasana or deep backbends, allowing you to breathe into the stretch without fighting gravity.
What to Expect in Class
My classes are mixed-level, meaning I am always present to adjust your hammock height and guide your form. We focus on:
- Spinal Decompression: Hanging upside down helps release tension in the lower back and neck.
- Core Engagement: Every movement in the air requires core stability, which builds functional strength faster than mat work alone.
- Confidence Building: Mastering an inversion is a mental win. When you nail a new pose, the whole studio celebrates with a loud 'Jai ho!'
Our Studio Environment
We practice in clean, calm spaces at our Brookefield, Varthur, and Belathur locations. You will find Buddha and Shiva murals, plenty of props like blocks and wheels if you need them, and a supportive community. These are not just classes where you follow a video; I am there to physically adjust you, answer your questions, and ensure you are working safely.
Whether you want to build strength for advanced asanas or just need a fun way to stretch after a long week of work, these sessions are designed to leave you feeling lighter and more focused.
Ashish Yoga Fitness
I started Ashish Yoga Fitness to create a space where everyone feels supported, whether they are trying their first inversion or refining an advanced pose. You will find me right there on the mat with you, correcting your alignment and cheering you on. We make sure every session leaves you feeling stronger and a bit lighter than when you walked in.
