About Aerial Yoga: Defy Gravity
Start by letting the silk fabric take your full body weight. It is not just about the flying poses; the real magic happens when you let the hammock decompress your spine and open your joints in ways mat yoga sometimes misses. I am always there to spot you, so you never have to worry about feeling unsteady, even when you are hanging upside down.
Why Add Aerial Yoga to Your Routine?
Many people think aerial yoga is only for the super-fit or flexible. My experience at the studio says otherwise. Whether you are dealing with back pain from sitting at a desk all day or you just want a new way to challenge your core, the hammock changes everything. It supports your body, allowing you to enter poses that might feel impossible on the floor.
My Approach to Safety
I treat the hammock as a partner, not a prop. When you come into my studio in Sector 23, we start slow. Learning to mount the silk and trust the fabric is the first step. I guide you through how to engage your muscles so you feel secure, not scared. We move from gentle supported stretches to inversions, and I am right there with you to ensure you are safe.
Benefits Beyond the Mat
- Spinal Decompression: Hanging upside down helps release the constant pressure gravity places on your vertebrae.
- Building Trust: Learning to let go and trust the silk is a mental shift that helps in other areas of life.
- Core Strength: Because the hammock is unstable, your core has to engage constantly to keep you balanced, leading to deep, functional strength.
Who Is This For?
If you have been practicing yoga for a while and hit a plateau, this will help you unlock new depth. If you are a beginner, it is actually one of the most supportive ways to start. We have people of all ages here, and as long as you have the curiosity to try, you will find your rhythm. Karat-karat abhyas—practice brings progress.
