Building trust and strength requires more than just flexibility. In my partner and acro yoga sessions, we use movement to connect, communicate, and push boundaries safely.

This is the beauty of Acro Yoga: finding strength and stillness together against the backdrop of the world. As a base, I provide a stable foundation for my partner to fly.

Exploring different shapes and balances in Acro Yoga. This practice is all about connection and playful exploration between partners.

A beautiful flow from a folded leaf pose into a supported headstand. This sequence requires core control from the flyer and steady support from the base.

From a handstand to a supported backbend, Acro Yoga is a dance of strength and surrender. It's a beautiful way to celebrate International Yoga Day.

Partner yoga doesn't always have to be in the air. This clip shows a simple partner stretch and a core-strengthening L-sit, both great for building foundational strength.

Unlocking a new partner pose. This variation requires open hips and strong core engagement from both partners to create a beautiful, stable shape.

A seamless Acro Yoga transition from a side star pose into a shoulder stand. The mirror reflects the precision and symmetry we work to achieve.

Here, I am demonstrating a therapeutic stretch with a partner before moving into alignment cues for downward-facing dog. Partner work can greatly assist in deepening stretches.

Exploring movement can take many forms. This is a creative blend of dance and partner work, showing how we can connect and flow together.

A graceful Acro Yoga flow from a plank on feet into a supported handstand. This sequence demonstrates a high level of strength, balance, and trust.

About Acro & Partner Yoga

Unlike solo practice, acro yoga is a conversation between bodies. Whether we are working on stacking bones for a stable base or finding the right core engagement for a flyer, my focus is always on your safety and confidence. We use props and manual adjustments to make even the most complex lifts accessible, ensuring that both partners feel supported, not just challenged.

Acro Yoga is often mistaken for just gymnastics, but it is a deeply grounded practice built on trust. In my sessions, we focus on the mechanics of connection. Whether you are a couple looking to deepen your bond, friends wanting to explore movement, or complete strangers finding a rhythm, the principles remain the same: clear communication and mutual respect.

I do not just throw you into lifts. We begin by establishing a foundation. As a base, I teach you how to stack your joints for structural support so you are not relying solely on muscle. As a flyer, you learn to trust your center and engage your core to become light. We often integrate Animal Flow elements and Hatha foundations, creating a dynamic, playful environment rather than a rigid, fitness-only space.

What to expect:

  • Safety First: Whether we are at your home in Mumbai or at studios like Nitrro in Breach Candy or Zenergy in Bandra, I am always the primary spotter. Your safety is non-negotiable.
  • Personalized Progress: We use props like blocks, wheels, and chairs to break down complex poses. If a full handstand is too intimidating, we work on transitions and supportive stretches first.
  • Communication Drills: You will learn non-verbal cues that build an intuitive understanding of your partner’s movements.

Yoga is not just about the silence of Savasana. Sometimes, it is about the laughter of a successful lift or the shared focus of a partner stretch. If you are in Mumbai, I offer these sessions for pairs, ensuring a 75-minute duration that allows us to warm up, flow, and cool down safely. Let us move together.

I’m Samarth. After 12 years of practice and a hard lesson in listening to my body, I teach yoga that balances strength with deep respect. My partner sessions are not about showing off. They are about helping you and your partner find balance, trust, and a bit of playfulness on the mat.
