About this collection
When I filmed the "Yoga Sankalpa" segments for Star Suvarna, I didn't want to just showcase perfect, difficult poses. My main focus was on breaking down common asanas so that anyone watching from home—regardless of their experience level—could follow along safely and feel confident trying them on their own mats.
Television allowed me to reach a wider audience, but my approach stayed the same as it is in my studio: focus on the breath and the process, not the pose itself.
My Approach On-Screen
- Foundational Alignment: I shared simple adjustments to help viewers practice safely without a live instructor present.
- Breath Awareness: We explored techniques for managing daily stress and finding mental clarity.
- Accessible Asanas: I demonstrated how to modify classic postures so they fit your body, rather than forcing your body to fit the pose.
Whether you are a complete beginner or someone looking to refine your practice, my goal with these segments was to remind you that yoga is not about perfection. It is about showing up. If you like what you see and are ready to take your practice further, I offer both online group sessions and in-person Hatha yoga classes here in Bengaluru. My classes are structured with these same principles of accessibility and community, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.
Yoga Bimba
I am Nayana, and my mission has always been to make yoga feel like a conversation, not a lecture. When I stepped onto the set for my television segments, my goal remained the same: to help you find your breath and rhythm, whether you are practicing in a studio or rolling out a mat in your own living room.
