My Personal Yoga Practice & Inspiration
Yoga is more than a studio class for me—it is how I connect with myself. From riverbanks to quiet beaches, these moments remind me that practice is about showing up, not perfection.
On the 7th day of Navaratri, we honor Goddess Kalratri, the destroyer of negative energy. This pose is a tribute to her fierce, protective power.
The beauty of the water and ether elements in one frame. Practicing balancing poses like Virabhadrasana III in an infinity pool helps rejuvenate the mind and soul.
A beautiful day spent by the backwaters of Kerala. The clear blue sky and calm water create the perfect setting for a mindful yoga practice.
This is how I spend my vacations, finding new places to practice. From Bakasana by the pool to Upavistha Konasana on a bench, yoga is always a part of my journey.
Finding my balance with a headstand by the pool. The reflection in the water adds another layer of focus and stillness to the practice of Sirsasana.
"Santosad anuttamah sukhalabha." This Yoga Sutra teaches us that from contentment comes supreme happiness. A moment of practice and contentment by the pool.
The combination of Vitamin Sea and yoga is simply the best. A short clip of me moving into Urdhva Dhanurasana (Wheel Pose) with the waves on a beautiful beach.
About this collection
My personal practice is where the real teaching happens. Whether I am balancing in a Kerala infinity pool or steadying myself on a Cauvery river rock, these moments remind me that yoga is not about the perfect pose. It is about finding contentment—Santosha—wherever you are. If you are looking for a space to build your own consistent practice, this is exactly what we focus on in our sessions: finding stability, even when life feels as unpredictable as a flowing river.
Yoga is not a destination. It is a state of being. When I travel, my mat comes with me, not because I need to hit a difficult pose, but because my practice is my anchor. You might see me practicing Vrikshasana (Tree Pose) on a river rock or moving into a wheel pose on the beach, but the location is secondary. The true work is in the stillness I find amidst the movement.
This philosophy defines everything we do at Yoga Bimba. Whether we are in our Nagarbhavi studio, on a sunrise trek in the hills around Bengaluru, or gathered for a wellness retreat, we focus on the same principles: Abhyasa (consistent practice) and Vairagya (non-attachment).
Many of my students come to me asking how to maintain a consistent routine. My answer is always the same: keep it simple. You do not need a perfectly curated space. You just need to show up.
Why We Practice
- Outdoor Yoga: We often move our practice to nature because the elements—earth, water, air—teach us about balance in ways a studio cannot.
- Mindful Living: My own journey has taught me that yoga is a tool for life. It helps you manage stress, understand your Doshas, and simply breathe through the chaos.
- Community: I share these personal moments to show you that a teacher is also a student. I am constantly learning, just like you.
If you are curious about starting your own journey or want to deepen your practice through one of our retreats or specialized workshops, let's talk.
