Outdoor Yoga Retreats and Wellness Experiences
Sometimes the mat needs to move outdoors. From hill treks to tranquil villa getaways, we step out of the studio to practice with nature as our guide.
A beautiful morning spent practicing yoga in the lap of nature, with birdsong as our music. This was from a wellness retreat where we followed our session with a fresh, healthy, and colorful breakfast.
Announcing our Tri-Doshas workshop at the beautiful Villa Shanta. The day was scheduled with yoga asanas to balance Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, followed by breakfast and relaxation.
Finding my flow and connecting with the elements at Devadhare resort. There's nothing like practicing asanas with the sound of a waterfall in the background.
This is what happens when a yoga teacher finds a beautiful destination. Every stunning backdrop, from a waterfall to a quiet lake, becomes an opportunity to practice and connect.
Sometimes it's all about fun and letting the inner child out. A glimpse from a fun-filled day out with the Yoga Bimba family, complete with a bus trip and games.
A reminder that every minute you spend on your well-being is an investment. A panoramic shot of me demonstrating various asanas in the serene environment of Kumarakom.
The beauty of the water and ether elements in one frame. Practicing balancing poses like Virabhadrasana III in an infinity pool helps rejuvenate the mind and soul.
About this collection
At our villa retreats, we don't just practice asanas; we dive into your personal constitution. Before we start our 90-minute flow, we have you fill out an Ayurvedic Dosha questionnaire, which allows us to tailor the session to balance your specific Vata, Pitta, or Kapha needs for the day.
When we take our practice to a rented villa or a local betta (hill), the goal is to shift your perspective. We leave the rush of Bengaluru city life behind to focus on holistic wellness.
What to Expect
- Ayurvedic Alignment: We center our retreats around the Tri-Dosha philosophy. Whether it is a full-day villa workshop or a morning trek, we use movement, breathwork, and theory sessions to bring your body back to a state of balance.
- Practice in Nature: There is a distinct difference between practicing on a wooden floor and finding stability on a river rock or grass. The natural terrain forces you to engage your core and find focus, turning a simple Vrikshasana (Tree Pose) into a true test of equilibrium.
- Community Connection: These are not silent, solitary retreats. We eat together, share herbal tea, and engage in Q&A sessions with wellness experts. It is a time to bond with other members of the tribe and celebrate our collective progress.
Practical Details
We handle the logistics so you can focus on the practice. Our full-day retreats include a Satvic menu—plant-based meals that are light on the stomach and nourishing for the body. For our hill treks, we provide transport from the studio, a guided hike, and a healthy packed breakfast box to keep you energized.
Our retreats are designed for everyone, from students who have been with us for years to those just beginning their journey. We pick locations that are accessible, quiet, and supportive, ensuring that you feel safe and welcome regardless of your experience level. Come as you are, just breathe, and let us grow together.
Yoga Bimba
My name is Nayana, and I started Yoga Bimba in a tiny shala back in 2013 with just three students. I love taking our practice out of the studio and into nature because it reminds us that yoga is not just about the mat—it is a way of living that connects us to our surroundings and each other.
