About Intimate Baithaks & Mehfils

When we set up a baithak, we are inviting you into a shared meditation. We prefer to sit on the floor at the same level as our audience to break the barrier between performer and listener, as this intimacy allows the nuances of the raga to travel directly. Please ensure your space is quiet enough for acoustic instruments, as we rely on the natural, unamplified purity of the tabla and tanpura to create the right atmosphere.
