Devotional & Festive Music Performances
We bring the spirit of traditional Indian devotional music to your festivals and gatherings. From sacred bhajans to joyous seasonal melodies, our music is a sadhana meant to connect, soothe, and celebrate.
An announcement for my performance at Ramotsav 2024 in Ayodhya. It was a great blessing and honor to get the opportunity to sing at the feet of Lord Ram.
We are keeping the musical traditions of Holi alive by performing and teaching these festive songs. This clip shows a performance of a traditional Hori composition, celebrating the joy of the festival.

About Devotional & Festive Performances
For these gatherings, I lead a specialized four-artist ensemble that balances melody and high-energy rhythm. We use a combination of tabla and dholak to ensure the atmosphere is vibrant enough for festivals like Holi, yet retains the sobriety required for prayer and stuti recitals.
Music is a dialogue with the divine. Whether it is a home chowki or a community festival, our performance is rooted in the Guru-Shishya tradition. We do not just play songs; we present a soundscape of devotion designed to invite audience participation.
The Ensemble
My team consists of four musicians—myself as the vocalist, along with percussionists on tabla and dholak, and a harmonium accompanist. This quartet is optimized to deliver a rich, traditional sound that fills a space without needing a complex, modern orchestral setup.
Our Repertoire
We focus on classical and semi-classical devotional forms. This includes:
- Traditional Bhajans: Compositions by Tulsi, Meera, and Surdas.
- Stuti & Prayer: Focused recitals suitable for temple events and formal spiritual gatherings.
- Seasonal Folk: Traditional Braj Holi melodies and Chaiti, celebrating the spirit of the season through music.
Technical Needs
To ensure the music reaches everyone clearly, we ask that you provide a PA system with at least four microphones and monitor speakers. For seating, a raised platform or a clean, carpeted floor area works best, as it allows us to maintain the traditional baithak aesthetic that helps the audience feel connected to the performance.
Swarveni Gurukul
At Swarveni Gurukul, we believe music is a spiritual journey. I am Pt. Ashish Narayan Tripathi, and I invite you to bring the traditional depth of Hindustani devotional music into your celebrations, making every event a true offering of sound and soul.
