Authentic Hindustani Classical Music Performances & Baithaks
Experience the soulful depth of Hindustani classical music, where every raga is a dedicated sadhana rooted in the Guru-Shishya tradition.
A performance of Raga Kedar, an evening raga that is both profound and serene. For us, the exploration of a raga is a meditative journey, and we strive to convey its deepest emotions in every recital.
This is the atmosphere of our Swarveni Baithak, an intimate musical gathering. Here, we connect with the audience through music, featuring a full ensemble with me on vocals, accompanied by tabla and harmonium.
A spontaneous ghazal session at our Swarveni music academy. These impromptu moments are where music truly comes alive, showcasing the light classical and semi-classical genres we perform at mehfils.
An announcement for our performance at 'Subah-E-Banaras', a prestigious morning concert series on the ghats of Varanasi. We are honored to perform at such culturally significant events, presenting morning ragas to welcome the day.
Celebrating the festival of Holi with traditional music at our Gurukul. We offer special performances for festivals, bringing to life the classic compositions like Hori and Chaiti that mark these joyous occasions.
A proud moment as my disciples perform at the Soorya Youth Festival in Trivandrum. Upholding the Guru-Shishya Parampara, or the teacher-disciple tradition, is fundamental to our work, and seeing students blossom on stage is my greatest reward.
A moment of concentration during a live performance. For me, every concert is an act of devotion, a space where I can share the spiritual essence of Hindustani classical music with listeners.
About Featured
When we bring our music to your space, the focus is never just on the performance; it is on creating a connection. We offer setups ranging from traditional 'baithak' style, where we sit on the floor to maintain intimacy, to formal concert stages with a full ensemble of tabla and harmonium. Please note that for home baithaks, we prefer natural acoustics or minimal amplification to preserve the resonance of the instruments, whereas larger public venues require a professional PA system.
Our music is a reflection of the Guru-Shishya Parampara, where the technical mastery of Raga, rhythm, and rasa is balanced by 'bhaav'—the emotion that gives music its life. Whether you are hosting a formal auditorium concert, a corporate gathering, or an intimate baithak at home, we tailor the presentation to suit the setting.
Our Performance Range
- Formal Concerts: These are structured recitals featuring detailed explorations of ragas like Kedar or Jaijaiwanti, often accompanied by a full ensemble including a live Tanpura player for an authentic soundscape.
- Baithak & Mehfil: Designed for smaller, indoor gatherings. We perform Ghazals, Thumri, and light classical pieces, allowing for direct interaction with the audience.
- Devotional & Festival: We specialize in bringing the spirit of traditional festivals to life through Holi compositions, bhajans, and spiritual chants.
The Artistic Ensemble
Depending on the scope of your event, I lead the ensemble with my team of senior accompanists. For larger events, we include guest instrumentalists—such as a flutist or sarangi player—to add melodic depth. We treat every performance as a living dialogue between the artist and the listener.
Technical Requirements
We believe in creating a sound environment that honors the music. For smaller rooms (under 400 sq. ft.), we prioritize unplugged performance. For larger halls, we request a standard PA system with monitor speakers to ensure every nuance of the vocal and percussion reaches the audience clearly.
Swarveni Gurukul
Namaskar, I am Pt. Ashish Narayan Tripathi. Music is a spiritual journey for me, not merely a profession. I invite you to bring the traditional essence of Hindustani classical music into your space, whether for a serene baithak or a grand concert.
