Soham Ayur Yoga Ashram Environment
Step away from the city into a space built for stillness. Our ashram is surrounded by mango groves and the quiet rhythm of nature—a place where the real work of yoga happens.

A peacock perches on a tree branch within the ashram grounds. We are blessed to share our space with these magnificent birds, whose calls are a regular part of our daily soundtrack.

About Our Serene Sanctuary: The Ashram Environment
Life here is simple, intentional, and stripped of city distractions. We do not offer luxury resort amenities; instead, you will sleep in gender-segregated dormitories and eat two daily sattvic meals prepared from ingredients grown right here on our grounds. This is a digital detox, designed to help you focus entirely on your practice and the silence around you.
Our ashram is located in Ramanagar, away from the chaos of Bangalore. This environment is intentionally kept minimal because we believe that the setting dictates your inner state. If your eyes are constantly distracted by luxury, your mind cannot turn inward.
The Daily Rhythm
Expect an early start. Our days begin at 5 AM and end at 9 PM. This is not a holiday where you sleep in; it is a residential training environment. You will be expected to participate in Karma Yoga, which involves daily service like gardening, kitchen help, or cleaning. This is not a chore, but a practice of bringing yoga into your physical movements.
The Space
We have an open-air yoga shala where the sounds of the birds and the rustle of mango trees provide the backdrop to your practice. We have no AC. We use solar-heated water. We live with the cycles of the day.
This setup allows you to test your practice in reality. When the environment is simple and the schedule is disciplined, you quickly learn which parts of your 'peaceful' yoga practice were just performance, and which parts are truly built into your character. We welcome those who are ready to let go of their comfort zones and engage with the teachings of yoga as a way of life, not just a physical exercise.
