Yoga: spelled out, lived out. A fun moment from one of our workshops celebrating World Yoga Day with the community.
This is how we party on the weekends. A glimpse into the fun and play we have in our workshops, trying out handstands and backbends together.
We are back with my favorite Headstand and Inversions Workshop in Koramangala. This is an invitation to come learn and grow with us.
Snippets from a headstand workshop. We always start with grounding and breathwork to prepare the mind and body.
Core work is a big part of preparing for inversions. Here is our group working together on abdominal strength drills.
Here I am assisting a student in finding their alignment in a headstand. Hands on adjustments are a key part of my workshops to ensure safe practice.
Assisting a student with a split leg variation in headstand. It's amazing to see people explore their capabilities in a supportive environment.
About this collection
We don't just practice poses; we deconstruct them. In every workshop, I break down complex skills like Sirsasana or Bakasana into three manageable stages: preparation, entry, and the safe exit strategy. You will often see me physically spotting students to ensure you learn how to fall safely, so you can practice without fear of injury.
How We Practice
My workshops in Koramangala and HSR are designed for those who want to move beyond the basics. We ditch the pressure of performing perfect, Insta-worthy poses and instead focus on the mechanics of strength and mobility.
The Workshop Structure:
- Engineer's Breakdown: Every session begins by deconstructing a complex asana into 3 or 4 stages. We look at the necessary prep work, the entry, how to hold the pose, and most importantly, how to exit safely.
- Safety First: Fear of falling stops many from progressing. We spend time learning how to land safely, using props and physical spotting to build your confidence.
- Mobility Drills: We dedicate 20 to 30 minutes at the start to wrist, core, and shoulder activation to prepare your body for the harder transitions.
Why Join Our Community
Yoga is often a solo practice, but it's much better when you have a tribe to share the wobbles and the wins with. We keep groups small (10 to 15 people) so I can give everyone hands-on adjustments.
Whether you are joining a single-topic technical workshop or our 4-week progressive series, you are not here to show off. You are here to learn. We play with inversions, explore deep backbends, and find the strength for arm balances, all while keeping things lighthearted. If you have a regular practice and are looking for that extra push, come join us this weekend.

I’m Saumya. I left my corporate job because I realized yoga isn't just about poses; it's about connecting with your own energy. In my workshops, I’m not here to be a drill sergeant; I’m here to help you safely explore what your body can do while we have a good laugh along the way.
