A Supportive Yoga Community in Bengaluru
Yoga is better when you don't do it alone. Here, you will find a space where deep human connections are just as important as the physical practice itself.
This is our community after an impromptu yoga session in Cubbon Park. It was wonderful to practice outdoors with old students, new faces, and our regular members all together.
One of the greatest joys of being a teacher is when your student community becomes your close circle. This was a surprise dinner with a steadfast group of students, and I'm so grateful for their love and support.
March was a month of meet ups. Here, our online students came to the studio to connect in person. It's a warm and wonderful feeling to spend time with this group of strong women.
After two years of practicing together online, it was pure joy to finally meet these students in person and be a part of their special day. It shows that strong relationships can be built even through a screen.
We recently held our annual "Yoga in the Park" session at Cubbon Park. It's an open event for everyone to join, connect with nature, and practice together as a community.
A view from the back during our yoga session in Cubbon Park. There's a special energy when we all practice together outdoors, surrounded by nature.
A student holds a tough pose while his partner cheers him on. This is a perfect example of the supportive environment we cultivate, where we motivate each other to go beyond our limits.
Two of my students, who are also yoga buddies since 2015, practice headstands in sync. It's beautiful to see the connections that are formed and strengthened through a shared love for yoga.
This video celebrates the mentors and teachers who have guided the journey of my studio. We are what we are because of the wisdom and support they have shared with our community.
Even as a teacher, I am always a student. This is a moment of gratitude for my own teachers, whose guidance allows me to better guide you. The path of yoga is one of lifelong learning.
About Our Yoga Community
It is rare to find a studio where students actually know each other's names, but here that is the standard. We do not just stay on the mat, as we regularly meet for park sessions at Cubbon Park or share a meal after class to connect as real people.
When I started Absolute Yoga in 2017, I did not want another fitness center where you enter, exercise, and leave without speaking to a soul. I wanted a space that felt like home. In Bangalore's fast-paced environment, finding a tribe is hard. That is why we nurture a community where the person next to you is not just a workout partner, but a friend.
We bridge the gap between studio time and real life. Whether it is a spontaneous dinner after a long week or our annual 'Yoga in the Park' event at Cubbon Park, these moments help us build bonds that extend far beyond the asanas. We have students who have been practicing together for years, cheering each other on through tough headstands or difficult phases of life.
This community is the heartbeat of our Kalyan Nagar studio. It is about showing up for yourself, yes, but also about showing up for the person practicing beside you. If you are looking for a yoga studio in Bangalore where you can be yourself, leave your ego at the door, and actually find a group of people who care about your progress, you have found the right place.
