Build Your Daily Yoga Practice in HSR Layout
Ashtanga is a journey of consistency, not perfection. Whether you are a beginner or looking to deepen your practice, I guide you through the traditional Mysore-style sequence at my HSR Layout shala.
A video montage of me practicing in different locations, showing that what truly matters is showing up for yourself.
A video explaining that the mind and body change daily, and the practice teaches us to have a sense of detachment while keeping our focus.
A video of me practicing Karandavasana, an advanced arm balance from the Ashtanga Intermediate Series. This pose teaches the art of knowing when to be soft and when to be strong.
A video of two people practicing together in a home shala. It shows that yoga is an inner calling, and embracing that path is a journey in itself.
About The Daily Practice
My approach is built on the Mysore method, where you learn to practice at your own pace. I do not just teach poses; I provide specific physical adjustments to help you find your alignment safely. You show up, breathe, and move, while I offer the guidance you need to make this daily ritual your own.
The essence of 'The Daily Practice' isn't about how flexible you are when you walk through the door. It is about the discipline of showing up. My shala in HSR Layout is designed to facilitate this inner work. Whether you are dealing with stiffness, recovering from an injury, or simply seeking balance in a hectic city, the Mysore style allows us to work together to create a structure that fits your body today.
Why Mysore Style?
Unlike led classes where everyone moves in unison, the Mysore method is a self-paced practice. You perform the sequence you have been taught, and I move around the room to give you personal adjustments and verbal cues. This allows me to see exactly where you are holding tension and help you release it, rather than forcing a shape that doesn't fit your anatomy.
Who is this for?
- Beginners: We start with the basics of Sun Salutations and build your practice stone by stone.
- Experienced Practitioners: We work on refining your existing postures and introducing the Intermediate Series when you are ready.
- Those seeking therapy: I also offer focused sessions for arthritis and insomnia, using yoga as a tool for healing rather than just exercise.
We practice three days a week in HSR Layout, with a mix of Mysore-style sessions and Sunday led classes where we sync breath and movement. The space is simple, fan-cooled, and quiet. Just bring your mat and an open mind. This path requires patience, but if you put in the time, the practice will reward you.
