About Yoga Therapy
What Yoga Therapy Means to Me
Yoga therapy isn’t about pulling off fancy poses. It’s about tuning in to your own body and mind, bit by bit. This practice is my way of letting go of old emotional baggage, the sticky vasanas that hang around, and finding a little more steadiness each day.
My Style: Partnership, Not Perfection
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. Every session, we check in with where you’re at - some days you feel strong, other days maybe not so much. My approach is grounded in the Ashtanga tradition, mixed with what I’ve learned from my studies and just living life. We use mindful movement practice, breathwork (sometimes called pranayama), chanting, and meditation. Your breath really leads the way here.
Where I Can Help
- Yoga for chronic pain relief: I’ve done a lot of research on pain and disability, so I know how rough it can get. We’ll go gentle, making space for your body to move in ways that help, not hurt.
- Prenatal yoga support: Pregnancy isn’t easy, but I work with you and your changing body to stay strong, limber, and calm.
- Yoga for sleep improvement: If you can’t sleep, we’ll work on calming things down - slow movement, soothing breath, and unwinding your nerves.
The Ongoing Journey
Healing through yoga isn’t quick or dramatic. It’s slow, sometimes frustrating, but always honest. My job is to be with you in that process, helping you build your own daily sadhana (practice) that feels right for you, wherever you are on your journey.

My Story
I’m Sanjana, started as an architect but yoga pulled me in, full heart. Mysore trips are my penance, and learning from Guruji Sharath Jois is everything. Level 2 authorised, I dig deep into tradition—parampara means a lot. Did my MSc in Yoga, even dived into Sanskrit just so I could read the Gita with feeling. Off the mat, I’m all about ragi idiyappam, vegan experiments, and quiet mountain walks with family. Yoga, food, nature—sab kuch ek hi hai (it’s all one).
My Work
Traditional Ashtanga Yoga Classes - I teach Mysore-style Ashtanga Yoga online and in Bangalore, plus yoga therapy for arthritis and insomnia.
Personalised Mysore-Style Practice - Classes at my home-shala, with individual adjustments. Beginners, seniors—sab welcome (everyone’s welcome).
Inner Journey Focus - Not chasing poses—using asana to clear friction and find truth inside. It’s about growing within.
Holistic Living - Yoga flows into daily life—food, discipline, self-compassion. Satvic cooking and mindful habits matter.
