About Mysore Style & Led Classes

In my HSR Layout shala, I do not teach poses as a generic workout. Whether you are joining my in-person Mysore-style sessions or connecting via live online classes, we focus on the Ashtanga lineage. It is a self-paced practice where you move at your own capacity, while I offer individual adjustments to align your breath with your movement, safely building your practice from the ground up.

How Mysore Style Works

Mysore style is the traditional way to learn Ashtanga. You are not following a group beat; you are working through the sequence at your own pace. I observe your practice, giving you verbal cues and hands-on adjustments to correct your alignment. This method allows us to tailor the practice to your body's specific needs, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner. You learn new postures only when your body is truly ready, which prevents injury and ensures a solid foundation.

Sunday Led Classes

While the weekday practice is personal and self-paced, Sundays are for coming together. In my led classes, I guide the group through the Primary Series with the traditional vinyasa count. This helps you synchronize your breath with movement and deepens your understanding of the flow. It is a communal experience that brings a different kind of energy to your sadhana.
