Deeper Meditation Practices
Step away from the screen and into the silence. Our guided sessions focus on Zazen, Vipassana, and stillness to help you navigate your mind without the noise of modern life.
I offer Zazen Meditation, a practice with origins in Zen Buddhism, as an exclusive class. We begin with classical Hatha Yoga to prepare the body before sitting in guided silent meditation.
The longest journey is the journey inwards. Here, members practice a wall-supported seated meditation, a simple yet powerful way to begin the practice of sitting in stillness.
A view of our various experiences, from the Silent Hour for a weekly mental detox to an Aerial Yoga showcase. It also shows our book buffet, encouraging nourishment for the mind off the mat.
I incorporate a wide variety of meditation styles into my classes. This includes Breath-Work, Yoga Nidra, Vipassana, Zazen, Stillness Meditation, and Singing Bowl Meditation, ensuring the practice is always fresh and beneficial.
About this collection
You do not need to be flexible or experienced to begin sitting in stillness. In our deeper meditation sessions, we focus on observing the mind rather than emptying it. We always start with a gentle physical sequence to release tension in the body, ensuring you can sit comfortably and focus fully on your breath or the practice at hand without physical distraction.
Why Deep Meditation Matters
In a world of constant notification, finding true silence is rare. We designed our deeper practice sessions for those looking to move beyond basic relaxation and explore Zazen and Vipassana techniques. These practices are not about reaching a specific state of happiness, but about training your brain to handle stress with greater resilience.
Our Approach to Stillness
We keep our Whitefield studios completely free of phones and watches. By leaving your devices in the locker, you create a dedicated boundary between your daily life and your hour of practice.
- Zazen & Vipassana: These sessions emphasize 'sitting with yourself.' We often pair them with Hatha Yoga or mindful movement at the start to prepare the body, making the transition into long-duration sitting more accessible.
- Environment: Our studios feature natural light, no mirrors, and a clutter-free aesthetic. This helps remove external distractions so the focus remains entirely inward.
- Accessibility: Whether you are new to meditation or have a long-term practice, these sessions are designed to meet you where you are. We offer guidance to help you find your rhythm, focusing on consistency over perfection.
Locations
We operate two sanctuary-like studios in Whitefield:
- Hopefarm: Focused on Aerial, Pilates, and general flow.
- Siddapura: Home to our dedicated Reformer Pilates and meditation-focused sessions.
Drop-ins are welcome for those looking to experience the studio before committing to a monthly membership.
Sama
I created SAMA because I wanted a space that felt like a pause button. Here, we strip away the gadgets and the noise so you can actually hear your own thoughts.
