Aerial Yoga Foundation Courses for Beginners
Whether you are brand new to aerial movement or looking to build a stable foundation, our courses are designed to help you find your strength and stillness. We keep our batches small to ensure you feel supported, safe, and confident every time you step into the hammock.
My beginner certification is one of my proudest offerings, with over 150 graduates so far. This 12-hour program, spread over three weekends, is your chance to build strength, improve flexibility, and reconnect with your body in a supportive, small-batch setting.
The Aerial Yoga Foundation Course is a SAMA exclusive, designed to build your confidence from the ground up. I offer flexible weekday and weekend batches, making it easy to start your journey into aerial movement and learn the foundational poses safely.
My aerial yoga classes are structured into two levels to support your growth. Level 1 focuses on transitioning from the mat to the hammock, while Level 2 introduces more challenging inversions and splits. I provide hands-on guidance to ensure your safety and progress.
I offer a variety of short courses, from one week to one month, designed to fit into your life. These focused programs are a great way to dive into a specific practice like aerial yoga, whether you're a beginner or looking to deepen your skills.
About this collection
You do not need to be flexible or have previous yoga experience to start here. My classes are structured to help you get comfortable with the hammock support before we move on to inversions or flips. We start with simple transitions and focus on core stability, so you are never rushed into a pose before you are ready.
Why Start Your Aerial Journey Here
Most people think aerial yoga is only for those who are already athletic. The truth is, the hammock is an incredible tool for everyone. It provides support for your weight, making it easier to hold poses that might feel impossible on a floor mat. My foundation courses are designed to bridge the gap between being curious and feeling confident in the air.
What You Will Learn
This is a progressive program. In Level 1, we strip away the intimidation factor. We spend time learning how to rig and trust the fabric, finding our balance, and mastering over 15 foundational asanas. You will learn how to transition safely from the mat into the air. If you want to dive deeper, Level 2 focuses on refining those movements and introducing more complex inversions and splits for those who have completed the initial certification.
The SAMA Approach
I run these courses in small batches in our Whitefield studios. This is intentional. You will not get lost in a crowd. I provide hands-on adjustments, and we prioritize safety and core engagement over flashy showmanship. Every session, whether it is a weekday morning or a weekend intensive, ends with our signature Cocoon Savasana. It is a moment to let the spinal decompression work its magic while you float, listening to guided meditation or soundscapes.
Device-Free Sanctuary
We are a strictly device-free studio. Phones go in lockers the moment you arrive. This ensures that the time you spend on the hammock is purely for you—a mental reset from the digital noise outside. By the time you graduate from the 12-hour certification, you will not just have learned new poses; you will have developed a consistent, calm practice that you can carry into your daily life.
Sama
At SAMA, I created the space I was looking for—somewhere quiet, mirror-free, and intentionally device-free. I guide every session personally because I believe true movement happens when you aren't distracted by phones or competition.
