Aerial Yoga Classes in Kalyan Nagar
Experience the suspension of aerial yoga in a studio designed for height. Decompress your spine, build strength, and find a different kind of movement at Absolute Yoga.
Suspended in an aerial hammock, you can find a unique sense of space and release. This practice helps to decompress the spine and deepen stretches in a way that feels almost effortless.
We moved our studio to a new location with 13 foot ceilings specifically for our aerial practice. This height allows for a full range of movement, including flips and drops, making the experience both safe and liberating.
My classes offer a balance between the grounding stillness of mat yoga and the freeing movement of aerial yoga. Both paths lead to the same goal: a deeper connection with yourself.
Aerial yoga teaches us to trust our bodies and the support of the silk. It's a practice where gravity becomes a tool for healing, allowing for deep stretches and a feeling of weightlessness.
About Aerial Yoga: Take Flight
Many studios use standard ceilings, but we built our Kalyan Nagar facility with 13ft heights to allow for a full range of movement. This height is essential for safety during inversions, enabling proper spinal decompression and allowing you to move through flips and drops without ever feeling cramped.
Why the ceiling height matters
In aerial yoga, the height of the anchor point defines your entire experience. If the silk is too low, you lose the ability to fully extend, which limits the depth of your stretches and makes inversions feel restricted. By securing our rigs to 13ft ceilings, we ensure you have the clearance needed for deep spinal decompression and advanced aerial techniques.
Is it safe if you are new?
Many people worry that aerial yoga is akin to acrobatics. It is not. We use the hammock as a prop to support your body weight, which takes the pressure off your joints. If you have back pain, this is often the most accessible way to start moving again because the silk supports you while you find alignment. We cap our class sizes small so the teacher is always nearby to adjust your hammock and spot you during inversions.
What to expect in a session
You will start with breathwork to settle in. Then, we use the silk to explore familiar yoga postures like forward folds and backbends with the added benefit of gravity-assisted lengthening. It is a mix of active movement and deep, passive release. You do not need to be strong or flexible to start; you just need to be willing to trust the fabric.
