Long jump is pure physics and power. Whether you are aiming for nationals or just perfecting your landing, I break it down into phases you can actually master. Let's get to work.

About Long Jump Technique

Many athletes lose distance before they even hit the board because their approach run lacks rhythm. I watch your stride length and speed consistency frame by frame to ensure you hit the takeoff board with maximum velocity, not just blind energy.

Long jump isn't just about how fast you run, it is about how controlled your chaos is when you hit that board. My training modules focus on the science of the jump.

We start with the approach run. You need to hit the takeoff board with the same rhythm every single time. If your stride is inconsistent, your takeoff will be weak. We drill the run-up until it becomes muscle memory.

Next is the takeoff. This is where most people get it wrong, trying to force height. It is all about the pop—the final conversion of horizontal speed into vertical lift. We use block and hurdle drills to teach your body how to transition without losing momentum.

Finally, the landing. It is the phase people ignore, but it can cost you vital centimeters. We work on your knee drive and leg extension so you maximize the distance before the sand touches your heels.

Whether you are preparing for Under-23 national competitions or just trying to clear that hurdle for the first time, my sessions involve video analysis. We look at your footage, identify the hitch in your stride, and fix it right there on the synthetic track. You put in the mehnat, and I provide the technical eye to make sure it counts.
