About Hurdle Mastery

My hurdle training is not just about jumping. We start with mobility drills to open your hips, then move to rhythm work on the synthetic track. You will learn how to minimize air time over the hurdle, keeping your body low and your momentum moving forward. Whether you are prepping for university games or just starting out, we fix your form step by step.

Perfecting the Rhythm

True hurdle mastery is about efficiency. If you are fighting the hurdle, you are losing time. In my sessions, we break down every phase of the movement. We focus on the approach, the takeoff, and most importantly, the clearance. Many athletes struggle with a 'floating' lead leg, which kills speed. We work on snapping that leg down quickly so your feet are back on the track the moment you land.

The Training Process

We train on synthetic tracks across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area to ensure you get the right bounce and traction. My sessions are structured around:

  • Mobility Work: Improving hip flexibility so you can maintain form throughout the race.
  • Trail Leg Drills: Focusing on the recovery phase to ensure your leg clears the hurdle without dragging.
  • Rhythm & Spacing: Teaching you how to maintain your stride pattern between hurdles, regardless of the distance.
  • Video Analysis: I use real-time playback to show you exactly where your form breaks down, so we can correct it immediately.
