About Olympic Weightlifting
Started late, but I live and breathe Olympic weightlifting now. For me, it’s always been ‘You vs You’. I didn’t have a smooth ride - picked up my first barbell at 22, faced plenty of struggles, but that’s just how it goes. Jai Hanuman, Jai Shree Ram - stay humble, work hard, be grateful.
What you get at Barbellhouse
Olympic weightlifting here isn’t just “pick up, put down”. We break down the two classic lifts - Snatch and Clean & Jerk - so you actually understand what’s happening. Everything starts with the basics, even if it’s just a PVC pipe at first. Form comes before ego. If you’re after real Snatch and Clean & Jerk training, this is where you build it.
How we train
- Every session is about technique first, then building strength - squats, deadlifts, bench, all of it.
- We throw in plyos, like box jumps, to build that explosive power you need on the platform.
- Doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out or chasing that next medal - everyone gets pushed, but nobody gets left behind.
- We’ve got youth, complete beginners, athletes from other sports, and serious lifters all under one roof.
Competition and community
We don’t just train - we compete. Team Barbellhouse has medals at state-level weightlifting competition and our own championships. It’s about testing yourself, not just showing up.
Banni, banni! (Come, come!) The platform’s waiting.

My Story
Barbellhouse is my dream, built from scratch after years of grinding as a weightlifter. I started late, at 22, and yeah, it was rough - money problems, setbacks, but faith and my mom kept me going. Jai Hanuman! I always say, ‘You vs you is the real fight.’ This gym is proof that hard work and prayers pay off. I’m chasing my champion title, and I want everyone who walks in to feel like they can chase theirs too.
