About Olympic Weightlifting
Why Olympic Weightlifting Feels Different
When you nail a lift and the bar floats just right, it’s a high like no other. At Namma Training, Olympic Weightlifting is about chasing that feeling with discipline and a lot of sweat. We’re all about the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk, breaking them down so they don’t feel impossible.
Our Approach: Real Technique, Reps, and Science
- We drill technique till it’s automatic. Sometimes, it’s flat out boring, but that’s how progress happens.
- Form comes first, always. Heavy weights only if your technique is on point.
- Science-backed plans - not random workouts.
What You’ll Actually Do
- Snatch technique gets its own focus days. We split the movement up, coach you through every bit, and don’t let sloppy reps slide.
- Clean and Jerk progression is all about power. You’ll do foundational moves like Power Clean and try variations like Split Jerk.
- We use complexes to build grit - like Russian Bear. You’ll know what pain feels like, but also what progress feels like.
Foundation is Everything
- If your basics are shaky, big lifts are risky. We take deadlifts and squats super seriously - fixing form, building strength in legs and glutes (not just back), and making deep squats part of your routine.
Who Shows Up Here
- Complete newbies, pro lifters stuck in a rut, women smashing stereotypes, runners and cyclists wanting injury-proof bodies - everyone fits in.
- We scale everything, so you don’t need to be “fit” to start.
The Namma Vibe
We’re a gym, but also a crew. We push each other, call out lazy reps, and celebrate every PB. After training, maybe a chai or coffee, because strong friendships matter too.

My Story
We’re NAMMA. Means ‘Our’ in Kannada, and that’s what this place is. Not just a gym, but a home. People walk in, lost sometimes, and find their crew. We started with the idea that training is every damn day, not just a one-off. Watching folks, especially women, get strong and confident - that’s our high. We lift for causes too, like helping kids beat eye cancer. You come here for fitness, but you stay for the family. This is NAMMA.
My Work
Group & Personal Training - We do Strength & Conditioning, CrossFit, MMA basics, Olympic Weightlifting, Calisthenics, and Kids’ fitness.
Join the Tribe - Namma means ‘Our’. You’ll find support, banter, and folks who push you and celebrate you.
Science-Backed, Real Training - 18+ years in the game. We teach you how to move right, no shortcuts, just boring repetition that works.
Everyone’s an Athlete - Doesn’t matter if you’re a newbie or pro. We’ve got fat loss, muscle gain, and kids’ programs for all.
